1 GLT And Yahweh said to Moses,“One more plague I will bring on Pharaoh and on Egypt. After that he will let you go from here. As soon as he lets go, he will certainly drive you completely away from here. BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will bring upon Pharaoh and Egypt one more plague. After that, he will allow you to leave this place. And when he lets you go, he will drive you out completely.
2 GLT Speak now in the ears of the people, and let them ask, a man from his neighbor and a woman from her neighbor, items of silver and items of gold.” BSB BSB: Now announce to the people that men and women alike should ask their neighbors for articles of silver and gold.”
3 GLT And Yahweh gave the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians. Furthermore, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the eyes of the servants of Pharaoh and in the eyes of the people. BSB BSB: And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, Moses himself was highly regarded in Egypt by Pharaoh’s officials and by the people.
4 GLT And Moses said,“Thus says Yahweh:‘About the middle of the night I will go out in the midst of Egypt, BSB BSB: So Moses declared, “This is what the LORD says: ‘About midnight I will go throughout Egypt,
5 GLT and every firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the mill, and every firstborn of a beast. BSB BSB: and every firstborn son in the land of Egypt will die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, to the firstborn of the servant girl behind the hand mill, as well as the firstborn of all the cattle.
6 GLT And there will be a great cry in all the land of Egypt, which nothing like it has ever happened, and nothing like it will happen again. BSB BSB: Then a great cry will go out over all the land of Egypt. Such an outcry has never been heard before and will never be heard again.
7 GLT But to each of the sons of Israel, a dog will not sharpen his tongue, from man to beast, so that you will know that Yahweh distinguishes between Egypt and between Israel.’ BSB BSB: But among all the Israelites, not even a dog will snarl at man or beast.’ Then you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.
8 GLT And all your servants, these will come down to me, and they will bow to me, saying,‘Go, you and all the people who are at your feet!’ And after that I will go out.” And he went out from Pharaoh with burning of the nose. BSB BSB: And all these officials of yours will come and bow before me, saying, ‘Go, you and all the people who follow you!’ After that, I will depart.” And hot with anger, Moses left Pharaoh’s presence.
9 GLT And Yahweh said to Moses,“Pharaoh will not listen to you, in order to multiply my miracles in the land of Egypt.” BSB BSB: The LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
10 GLT And Moses and Aaron did all these miracles before the face of Pharaoh. But Yahweh strengthened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not let the sons of Israel go from his land. BSB BSB: Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, but the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart so that he would not let the Israelites go out of his land.
