1 GLT And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 GLT “On the first day of the month, in the first month, you shall raise up the Dwelling of the tent of meeting. BSB BSB: “On the first day of the first month you are to set up the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.
3 GLT And you shall place the Box of the Testimony there, and you shall cover over the box with the curtain. BSB BSB: Put the ark of the Testimony in it and screen off the ark with the veil.
4 GLT And you shall bring in the table and arrange its arrangement. And you shall bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps. BSB BSB: Then bring in the table and set out its arrangement; bring in the lampstand as well, and set up its lamps.
5 GLT And you shall put the altar of gold for incense before the face of the Box of the Testimony, and you shall place the curtain of the gate to the Dwelling. BSB BSB: Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and hang the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.
6 GLT And you shall put the altar of the burnt offering before the face of the gate of the Dwelling, the tent of meeting. BSB BSB: Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.
7 GLT And you shall put the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water there. BSB BSB: And place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
8 GLT And you shall set up the courtyard around it, and set up the curtain of the gate of the courtyard. BSB BSB: Set up the surrounding courtyard and hang the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard.
9 GLT And you shall take the oil of anointing and anoint the Dwelling and everything that is in it. And you shall set apart it and all its furnishings, and it will be holy. BSB BSB: Take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it along with all its furnishings, and it shall be holy.
10 GLT And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering and all its utensils. And you shall set apart the altar, and the altar will be a holiest holy thing. BSB BSB: Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate the altar, and it shall be most holy.
11 GLT And you shall anoint the basin and its base and set it apart. BSB BSB: Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate them.
12 GLT And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the gate of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. BSB BSB: Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
13 GLT And you shall clothe Aaron with the garments of holiness and anoint him and set him apart, and he will serve as a priest to me. BSB BSB: And you are to clothe Aaron with the holy garments, anoint him, and consecrate him, so that he may serve Me as a priest.
14 GLT And you shall bring his sons and clothe them{ with} tunics. BSB BSB: Bring his sons forward and clothe them with tunics.
15 GLT And you shall anoint them just as you anointed their father, and they will serve as priests to me. And their anointing will cause them to be a priesthood forever throughout their generations.” BSB BSB: Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so that they may also serve Me as priests. Their anointing will qualify them for a permanent priesthood throughout their generations.”
16 GLT And Moses did according to all that Yahweh had commanded him. Thus he did. BSB BSB: Moses did everything just as the LORD had commanded him.
17 GLT And it was in the first month, the second year, on the first of the month{ that} the Dwelling was raised up. BSB BSB: So the tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year.
18 GLT And Moses raised up the Dwelling and placed its bases and set up its frames and placed its bars and set up its pillars. BSB BSB: When Moses set up the tabernacle, he laid its bases, positioned its frames, inserted its crossbars, and set up its posts.
19 GLT And he spread the tent over the Dwelling and put the covering of the tent over it on the top, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, just as the LORD had commanded him.
20 GLT And he took the testimony and put{ it} into the box. And he put the poles on the box and put the atonement lid on the top of the box. BSB BSB: Moses took the Testimony and placed it in the ark, attaching the poles to the ark; and he set the mercy seat atop the ark.
21 GLT And he brought the box into the Dwelling. And he set up the curtain of covering, and he covered over the Box of the Testimony, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle, put up the veil for the screen, and shielded off the ark of the Testimony, just as the LORD had commanded him.
22 GLT And he put the table into the tent of meeting, on the north side of the Dwelling, outside of the curtain. BSB BSB: Moses placed the table in the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil.
23 GLT And he arranged on it the arrangement of bread before the face of Yahweh, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: He arranged the bread on it before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
24 GLT And he put the lampstand into the tent of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the Dwelling. BSB BSB: He also placed the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle
25 GLT And he lifted up the lamps before the face of Yahweh, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: and set up the lamps before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
26 GLT And he put the altar of gold into the tent of meeting in front of the face of the curtain. BSB BSB: Moses placed the gold altar in the Tent of Meeting, in front of the veil,
27 GLT And he caused smoke on it, incense of fragrance, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the LORD had commanded him.
28 GLT And he set up the curtain of the gate of the Dwelling. BSB BSB: Then he put up the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.
29 GLT And he put the altar of the burnt offering at the gate of the Dwelling, the tent of meeting, and offered up on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: He placed the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, just as the LORD had commanded him.
30 GLT And he placed the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and he put water for washing there. BSB BSB: He placed the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing;
31 GLT And Moses, and Aaron, and his sons would wash their hands and their feet from it. BSB BSB: and from it Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and feet.
32 GLT Whenever they went into the tent of meeting and whenever they went close to the altar, they washed themselves, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses. BSB BSB: They washed whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
33 GLT And he raised up the courtyard around the Dwelling and the altar. And he set up the curtain of the gate of the courtyard. And Moses finished the work. BSB BSB: And Moses set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and the altar, and he hung the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard. So Moses finished the work.
34 GLT And the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Yahweh filled the Dwelling. BSB BSB: Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
35 GLT And Moses was not able to go into the tent of meeting, because the cloud had settled on it and the glory of Yahweh had filled the Dwelling. BSB BSB: Moses was unable to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
36 GLT And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Dwelling, the sons of Israel would set out on all their travels, BSB BSB: Whenever the cloud was lifted from above the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out through all the stages of their journey.
37 GLT but if the cloud was not taken up, then they would not set out until the day it was taken up. BSB BSB: If the cloud was not lifted, they would not set out until the day it was taken up.
38 GLT For the cloud of Yahweh{ was} over the Dwelling by day, and fire was on it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel in all their travels. BSB BSB: For the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel through all their journeys.
