1 GLT И пророчествовали пророк Аггей и Захария, сын Адды, пророки, иудеям, которые в Иудее и в Иерусалиме, во имя Бога Израиля относительно них. 2 GLT Тогда встали Зоровавель, сын Салафиила, и Иисус, сын Иоседека, и начали строить дом Бога, Который в Иерусалиме, и с ними пророки Бога, помогающие им. BSB BSB: Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak rose up and began to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, helping them.
3 GLT В это же время пришёл к ним Фафнай, начальник областей за рекой, и Шефар- Бознай, и их товарищи, и так сказали им:" Кто дал вам указ строить этот дом и заканчивать эти стены?" BSB BSB: At that time Tattenai the governor of the region west of the Euphrates, Shethar-bozenai, and their associates went to the Jews and asked, “Who authorized you to rebuild this temple and restore this structure?”
4 GLT Тогда мы так сказали им:" Как имена этих мужчин, которые строят это здание?" BSB BSB: They also asked, “What are the names of the men who are constructing this building?”
5 GLT И глаз их Бога был на старейшинах иудеев, и не остановили их, пока дело не дошло до Дария; и тогда пришёл ответ об этом. BSB BSB: But the eye of their God was on the elders of the Jews, so that they were not stopped until a report was sent to Darius and written instructions about this matter were returned.
6 GLT Копия письма, которое послали Фафнай, начальник областей за рекой, и Шефар- Бознай, и его товарищи афарсахеи, которые за рекой, царю Дарию. BSB BSB: This is the text of the letter that Tattenai the governor of the region west of the Euphrates, Shethar-bozenai, and their associates, the officials in the region, sent to King Darius.
7 GLT Ему послали письмо, и в нём написали так:" Царю Дарию мир во всём! BSB BSB: The report they sent him read as follows: To King Darius: All peace.
8 GLT Пусть будет известно царю, что мы ходили в область Иудеи, в дом великого Бога; и он строится огромными камнями, и древесина закладывается в стены; и работа эта быстро делается и продвигается в их руках. BSB BSB: Let it be known to the king that we went into the province of Judah, to the house of the great God. The people are rebuilding it with large stones and placing timbers in the walls. This work is being carried out diligently and is prospering in their hands.
9 GLT Тогда мы так спросили у тех старейшин, мы сказали им:' Кто дал вам указ строить этот дом и заканчивать эту стену?' BSB BSB: So we questioned the elders and asked, “Who authorized you to rebuild this temple and restore this structure?”
10 GLT А также мы спросили у них их имена, чтобы сообщить тебе, чтобы записать имена мужчин, которые у них во главе. BSB BSB: We also asked for their names, so that we could write down the names of their leaders for your information.
11 GLT И вот как они ответили нам письмом, говоря:‘Мы рабы Бога небес и земли, и мы отстраиваем дом, который был построен за много лет до того, и который строил и закончил великий царь Израиля. BSB BSB: And this is the answer they returned: “We are servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and completed.
12 GLT Но из- за того, что наши отцы прогневали Бога небес, Он отдал их в руку Навуходоносора, царя Вавилона, халдея; и дом этот он разрушил, а народ переселил в Вавилон. BSB BSB: But since our fathers angered the God of heaven, He delivered them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Chaldean who destroyed this temple and carried away the people to Babylon.
13 GLT Однако в первый год Кира, царя Вавилона, царь Кир издал указ построить этот дом Бога. BSB BSB: In the first year of his reign, however, Cyrus king of Babylon issued a decree to rebuild this house of God.
14 GLT А также золотые и серебряные сосуды дома Бога, которые Навуходоносор вынес из храма, который в Иерусалиме, и отнёс их в храм, который в Вавилоне,— их царь Кир вынес из храма, который в Вавилоне, и передал именуемому Шешбацаром, которого он сделал начальником областей. BSB BSB: He also removed from the temple of Babylon the gold and silver articles belonging to the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken and carried there from the temple in Jerusalem. King Cyrus gave these articles to a man named Sheshbazzar, whom he appointed governor
15 GLT И сказал ему:" Возьми эти сосуды, пойди, поставь их в храме, который в Иерусалиме. И пусть строится дом Бога на своём месте". BSB BSB: and instructed, ‘Take these articles, put them in the temple in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be rebuilt on its original site.’
16 GLT Тогда этот Шешбацар пришёл, заложил фундамент дома Бога, который в Иерусалиме, и с того времени и до сих пор он строится и не закончен. BSB BSB: So this Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundation of the house of God in Jerusalem, and from that time until now it has been under construction, but it has not yet been completed.”
17 GLT И теперь, если царю угодно, пусть расследуют в сокровищнице царя там, в Вавилоне, правда ли, что царём Киром был издан указ строить этот дом Бога в Иерусалиме, и пусть пришлют нам волю царя об этом деле'". BSB BSB: Now, therefore, if it pleases the king, let a search be made of the royal archives in Babylon to see if King Cyrus did indeed issue a decree to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. Then let the king send us his decision in this matter.
