1 GLT And Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, BSB BSB: And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
2 GLT “Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them,‘When any man has a fluid discharge from his body, his fluid discharge makes him unclean. BSB BSB: “Say to the Israelites, ‘When any man has a bodily discharge, the discharge is unclean.
3 GLT And this is his uncleanness in his fluid discharge: whether his body lets his fluid discharge flow or his body obstructs the fluid discharge, it is his uncleanness. BSB BSB: This uncleanness is from his discharge, whether his body allows the discharge to flow or blocks it. So his discharge will bring about uncleanness.
4 GLT Any bed on which the one with a fluid discharge lies will be unclean, and any thing on which he sits will be unclean. BSB BSB: Any bed on which the man with the discharge lies will be unclean, and any furniture on which he sits will be unclean.
5 GLT And a man who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening; BSB BSB: Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
6 GLT And the one who sits on the thing on which the one with a fluid discharge sat must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: Whoever sits on furniture on which the man with the discharge was sitting must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
7 GLT And the one who touches the body of the one with a fluid discharge must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: Whoever touches the body of the man with a discharge must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
8 GLT And if the one with a fluid discharge spits on someone who is clean, then he must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: If the man with the discharge spits on one who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
9 GLT And any saddle which the one with a fluid discharge rides upon will be unclean. BSB BSB: Any saddle on which the man with the discharge rides will be unclean.
10 GLT And any one who touches anything that was under him will be unclean until the evening. And the one who carries them must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: Whoever touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening, and whoever carries such things must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
11 GLT And anyone whom the one with a fluid discharge touches without having rinsed his hands in water, he must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: If the man with the discharge touches anyone without first rinsing his hands with water, the one who was touched must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
12 GLT And a vessel of clay that the one with a fluid discharge touches must be broken, and every vessel of wood must be rinsed in water. BSB BSB: Any clay pot that the man with the discharge touches must be broken, and any wooden utensil must be rinsed with water.
13 GLT And when the one with a fluid discharge becomes cleansed from his fluid discharge, then he must count for himself seven days for his cleansing. And he must wash his clothes and bathe his body in living water. And he will be clean. BSB BSB: When the man has been cleansed from his discharge, he must count off seven days for his cleansing, wash his clothes, and bathe himself in fresh water, and he shall be clean.
14 GLT And on the eighth day he must take for himself two turtledoves or two sons of the pigeon and come before the face of Yahweh at the entrance of the tent of meeting. And he must give them to the priest. BSB BSB: On the eighth day he is to take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, come before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and give them to the priest.
15 GLT And the priest must offer them, one as a sin offering and one as a burnt offering. And the priest will make atonement for him before the face of Yahweh because of his fluid discharge. BSB BSB: The priest is to sacrifice them, one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for the man before the LORD because of his discharge.
16 GLT And if a man has an emission of seed go out from him, then he must bathe his whole body in water. And he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
17 GLT And any garment and any leather on which there is an emission of seed must be washed in water. And it will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: Any clothing or leather on which there is an emission of semen must be washed with water, and it will remain unclean until evening.
18 GLT And if a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of seed, then they must bathe in water and be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: If a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both must bathe with water, and they will remain unclean until evening.
19 GLT And when a woman has a fluid discharge, and blood is her fluid discharge in her body, for seven days she will be in her menstruation. And any one who touches her will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: When a woman has a discharge consisting of blood from her body, she will be unclean due to her menstruation for seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean until evening.
20 GLT And anything that she lies on during her menstruation will be unclean. And anything that she sits on will be unclean. BSB BSB: Anything on which she lies or sits during her menstruation will be unclean,
21 GLT And any one who touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water. And he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: and anyone who touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
22 GLT And any one who touches any thing that she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe in water. And he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: Whoever touches any furniture on which she was sitting must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
23 GLT And if it is on the bed or on a thing which she sits on, when he touches it, he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: And whether it is a bed or furniture on which she was sitting, whoever touches it will be unclean until evening.
24 GLT And if a man actually lies with her so that her menstrual impurity is on him, then he will be unclean for seven days; and every bed on which he lies will be unclean. BSB BSB: If a man lies with her and her menstrual flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days, and any bed on which he lies will become unclean.
25 GLT And if a woman has a discharge of her blood that flows for many days when it is not the time of her menstruation, or if she discharges beyond her menstruation, all the days of the discharge of her uncleanness will be as the days of her menstruation. She is unclean. BSB BSB: When a woman has a discharge of her blood for many days at a time other than her menstrual period, or if it continues beyond her period, she will be unclean all the days of her unclean discharge, just as she is during the days of her menstruation.
26 GLT Every bed on which she lies all the days of her discharge will be to her just like the bed of her menstruation. And any thing which she sits on will be unclean, just like the uncleanness of her menstruation. BSB BSB: Any bed on which she lies or any furniture on which she sits during the days of her discharge will be unclean, like her bed during her menstrual period.
27 GLT And any one who touches them will be unclean; so he must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until the evening. BSB BSB: Anyone who touches these things will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
28 GLT And if she is cleansed from her discharge, then she will count for herself seven days, and after that she will be clean. BSB BSB: When a woman is cleansed of her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean.
29 GLT And on the eighth day she will take for herself two turtledoves or two sons of the pigeon and bring them to the priest at the entrance of the tent of meeting. BSB BSB: On the eighth day she is to take two turtledoves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
30 GLT And the priest will offer one as a sin offering and one as a burnt offering. And the priest will make atonement for her before the face of Yahweh because of her unclean fluid discharge. BSB BSB: The priest is to sacrifice one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her before the LORD for her unclean discharge.
31 GLT And you must separate the sons of Israel from their uncleanness, and they will not die by their uncleanness, by their defiling my dwelling place that is in their midst. BSB BSB: You must keep the children of Israel separate from their uncleanness, so that they do not die by defiling My tabernacle, which is among them.
32 GLT This is the law for the one who has a fluid discharge, and for whoever has an emission of seed go out from him by which to become unclean, BSB BSB: This is the law of him who has a discharge, of the man who has an emission of semen whereby he is unclean,
33 GLT and for the one who is sick in her menstruation, and for the one who discharges his bodily fluid, whether male or female, and for a man who lies with an unclean woman.’” BSB BSB: of a woman in her menstrual period, of any male or female who has a discharge, and of a man who lies with an unclean woman.’”
