1 GLT And a person— when he presents an offering of a grain offering to Yahweh, his offering will be flour. And he will pour oil on it, and he will put incense on it. BSB BSB: “When anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, his offering must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put frankincense on it,
2 GLT And he will bring it to the sons of Aaron, the priests, and he will grab from there the fullness of his handful, some of its flour and some of its oil, in addition to all its incense. And the priest will cause its memorial portion to become smoke on the altar— a gift, a pleasing smell to Yahweh. BSB BSB: and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the frankincense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
3 GLT And the remainder from the grain offering{ will be} for Aaron and for his sons— a holy thing of holy things from the gifts of Yahweh. BSB BSB: The remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings to the LORD.
4 GLT And when you present an offering of a grain offering, a baked item of the oven, flour of loaves of unleavened bread{ will be} mixed with oil or wafers of unleavened bread{ will be} anointed with oil. BSB BSB: Now if you bring an offering of grain baked in an oven, it must consist of fine flour, either unleavened cakes mixed with oil or unleavened wafers coated with oil.
5 GLT And if your offering is a grain offering on the griddle, flour will be mixed with oil{ into} unleavened bread. BSB BSB: If your offering is a grain offering prepared on a griddle, it must be unleavened bread made of fine flour mixed with oil.
6 GLT Piece it{ into} pieces, and you will pour oil on it. It{ is} a grain offering. BSB BSB: Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.
7 GLT And if your offering is a grain offering of a pan, flour will be made with oil. BSB BSB: If your offering is a grain offering cooked in a pan, it must consist of fine flour with oil.
8 GLT And you will bring the grain offering that is made from these{ things} to Yahweh. And he will present it to the priest, and he will bring it near to the altar. BSB BSB: When you bring to the LORD the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he shall take it to the altar.
9 GLT And the priest will take up from the grain offering its memorial portion, and he will cause{ it} to become smoke on the altar— a gift, a pleasing smell to Yahweh. BSB BSB: The priest is to remove the memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
10 GLT And the remainder from the grain offering{ will be} for Aaron and for his sons— a holy thing of holy things from the gifts of Yahweh. BSB BSB: But the remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings to the LORD.
11 GLT Any grain offering that you present to Yahweh will not be made{ with} leaven. For any leaven culture or any honey, you will not cause to become smoke from it— a gift to Yahweh. BSB BSB: No grain offering that you present to the LORD may be made with leaven, for you are not to burn any leaven or honey as a food offering to the LORD.
12 GLT You will present them to Yahweh{ as} an offering of first{ things}, but on the altar they will not go up as a pleasing smell. BSB BSB: You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of firstfruits, but they must not go up on the altar as a pleasing aroma.
13 GLT And every offering of your grain offerings, you will salt with salt. And you will not omit the salt of the covenant of your God from on your grain offering. On all your offerings you will present salt. BSB BSB: And you shall season each of your grain offerings with salt. You must not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offering; you are to add salt to each of your offerings.
14 GLT And if you present a grain offering of first ripe grains to Yahweh— tender ears roasted with fire, crushed grains of new corn— you will present a grain offering of your first ripe grains. BSB BSB: If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, you shall offer crushed heads of new grain roasted on the fire.
15 GLT And you will put oil on it, and you will place incense on it. It{ is} a grain offering. BSB BSB: And you are to put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering.
16 GLT And the priest will cause its memorial portion to become smoke, from its crushed grains and from its oil, with all its incense— a gift to Yahweh. BSB BSB: The priest shall then burn the memorial portion of the crushed grain and the oil, together with all its frankincense, as a food offering to the LORD.
