GLT But he, answering, said to them,“Why do you also violate the commandment of God because of your traditions? BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
GLT For God commanded, saying,‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and‘The one reviling his father or mother, let him end in death.’ BSB BSB: For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
GLT But you say,‘Whoever says to his father or mother“Whatever from me might have been helpful{ is} a gift,”’ BSB BSB: But you say that if anyone says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’
GLT he will certainly not honor his father. And so you have made void the word of God because of your traditions. BSB BSB: he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

GLT But he said,“Are you also still without understanding? BSB BSB: “Do you still not understand?” Jesus asked.
GLT Do you not yet understand that everything that enters into the mouth passes into the stomach and is passed out into the latrine? BSB BSB: “Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated?
GLT But the things proceeding out from the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. BSB BSB: But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.

GLT Now he answering said,“It is not good to take the bread of the children and to throw{ it} to the little dogs.” BSB BSB: But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
GLT But she said,“Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat from the crumbs falling from the tables of their masters.” BSB BSB: “Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

GLT But Jesus, having summoned his disciples, said,“I have compassion on the crowd, because they have remained with me three days already and do not have anything to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they might faint on the way.” BSB BSB: Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”
GLT And the disciples say to him,“From where{ would be} to us in a wilderness so much bread so as to satisfy so large a crowd?” BSB BSB: The disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”
GLT And Jesus says to them,“How many loaves do you have?” And they said,“Seven, and a few small fish.” BSB BSB: “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
GLT And having commanded the crowd to recline on the ground, BSB BSB: And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground.
