GLT And to them he said,‘You also, go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ BSB BSB: ‘You also go into my vineyard,’ he said, ‘and I will pay you whatever is right.’
GLT So they went out. Having gone out again about the sixth and ninth hour, he did likewise. BSB BSB: So they went. He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing.
GLT Now having gone out about the eleventh{ hour}, he found others standing, and he says to them,‘Why have you stood here idle the whole day?’ BSB BSB: About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’ he asked.
GLT They say to him,‘Because no one hired us.’ He says to them,‘You also go into the vineyard.’ BSB BSB: ‘Because no one has hired us,’ they answered. So he told them, ‘You also go into my vineyard.’
GLT And evening having come, the owner of the vineyard says to his manager,‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, having begun from the last to the first.’ BSB BSB: When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, starting with the last ones hired and moving on to the first.’

GLT But having come, the first thought that they will receive more, but they also received a denarius each. BSB BSB: So when the original workers came, they assumed they would receive more. But each of them also received a denarius.

GLT But he, answering, said to one of them,‘Friend, I am not wronging you. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? BSB BSB: But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Did you not agree with me on one denarius?
GLT Take{ what is} yours and go away. But I desire to give to these last as also to you. BSB BSB: Take your pay and go. I want to give this last man the same as I gave you.
GLT Or is it not lawful for me to do what I desire with my things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ BSB BSB: Do I not have the right to do as I please with what is mine? Or are you envious because I am generous?’
GLT In the same way, the last will be first, and the first last.” BSB BSB: So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
GLT And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the 12 disciples aside by themselves, and on the way he said to them, BSB BSB: As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside and said,

GLT Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee approached him with her sons, bowing down and asking for something from him. BSB BSB: Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and knelt down to make a request of Him.
GLT But he said to her,“What do you desire?” She says to him,“Say that these two sons of mine might sit, one at your right hand and one at your left hand, in your kingdom.” BSB BSB: “What do you want?” He inquired. She answered, “Declare that in Your kingdom one of these two sons of mine may sit at Your right hand, and the other at Your left.”
GLT But answering, Jesus said,“You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?” They say to him,“We are able.” BSB BSB: “You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” the brothers answered.
GLT He says to them,“My cup you will drink. But to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but to the ones for whom it has been prepared by my Father.” BSB BSB: “You will indeed drink My cup,” Jesus said. “But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom My Father has prepared them.”
GLT And having heard this, the ten{ disciples} were very angry with the two brothers. BSB BSB: When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers.
GLT But Jesus, having called them to himself, said,“You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and the great ones exercise authority over them. BSB BSB: But Jesus called them aside and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them.
GLT It is not this way among you. Instead, whoever desires to become great among you will be your servant, BSB BSB: It shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
GLT and whoever desires to be first among you will be your servant, BSB BSB: and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave—
GLT just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.” BSB BSB: just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
GLT And{ as} they were proceeding from Jericho, a great crowd followed him. BSB BSB: As they were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed Him.

GLT And having stood still, Jesus called to them and said,“What do you want that I might do for you?” BSB BSB: Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want Me to do for you?” He asked.
GLT They say to him,“Lord, that our eyes might be opened.” BSB BSB: “Lord,” they answered, “let our eyes be opened.”
GLT Now having been moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. And immediately they received{ it} and followed him. BSB BSB: Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and at once they received their sight and followed Him.
