Psalm 28 28 Psalms Book 1 Russian Literal Text 1 GLT David To you, Yahweh, I cry out; my rock, do not ignore me. If you do not respond to me, I will join those who go down to the grave. BSB BSB: Of David. To You, O LORD, I call; be not deaf to me, O my Rock. For if You remain silent, I will be like those descending to the Pit.
GLT Hear the sound of my pleading when I call for help from you, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy place! BSB BSB: Hear my cry for mercy when I call to You for help, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.
GLT Do not drag me away with the wicked, those who do iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors but have evil in their hearts. BSB BSB: Do not drag me away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors while malice is in their hearts.
GLT Give them what their deeds deserve and repay them what their wickedness demands, repay them for the work of their hands and render to them their due. BSB BSB: Repay them according to their deeds and for their works of evil. Repay them for what their hands have done; bring back on them what they deserve.
GLT Because they do not understand the deeds of Yahweh or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and never rebuild them. BSB BSB: Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD or what His hands have done, He will tear them down and never rebuild them.
GLT Blessed be Yahweh because he has heard the sound of my pleading! BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD, for He has heard my cry for mercy.
GLT Yahweh is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and I will praise him with singing. BSB BSB: The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song.
GLT Yahweh is the strength of his people, and he is the saving refuge of his anointed one. BSB BSB: The LORD is the strength of His people, a stronghold of salvation for His anointed.
GLT Save your people and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd and carry them forever. BSB BSB: Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; shepherd them and carry them forever.
