Psalm 85 85 Psalms Book 3 Russian Literal Text 1 GLT Yahweh, you have showed favor to your land; you have restored the well- being of Jacob. BSB BSB: For the choirmaster. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. You showed favor to Your land, O LORD; You restored Jacob from captivity.
2 GLT You have forgiven the sin of your people; you have covered all their sin. Selah BSB BSB: You forgave the iniquity of Your people; You covered all their sin. Selah
3 GLT You have withdrawn all your wrath; you have turned back from your hot anger. BSB BSB: You withheld all Your fury; You turned from Your burning anger.
4 GLT Restore us, God of our salvation, and let go of your displeasure with us. BSB BSB: Restore us, O God of our salvation, and put away Your displeasure toward us.
5 GLT Will you be angry with us forever? Will you remain angry throughout future generations? BSB BSB: Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger to all generations?
6 GLT Will you not revive us again? Then your people will rejoice in you. BSB BSB: Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?
7 GLT Show us your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, grant us your salvation. BSB BSB: Show us Your loving devotion, O LORD, and grant us Your salvation.
8 GLT I will listen to what Yahweh God says, for he will make peace with his people, his faithful ones. Yet they must not turn again to foolish ways. BSB BSB: I will listen to what God the LORD will say; for He will surely speak peace to His people and His saints; He will not let them return to folly.
9 GLT Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him; then glory will remain in our land. BSB BSB: Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that His glory may dwell in our land.
10 GLT Covenant faithfulness and trustworthiness have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. BSB BSB: Loving devotion and faithfulness have joined together; righteousness and peace have kissed.
11 GLT Trustworthiness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky. BSB BSB: Faithfulness sprouts from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 GLT Yes, Yahweh will give his good blessings, and our land will yield its crops. BSB BSB: The LORD will indeed provide what is good, and our land will yield its increase.
13 GLT Righteousness will go before him and make a way for his footsteps. BSB BSB: Righteousness will go before Him to prepare the way for His steps.
