1 GLT After these things I heard as it were the loud voice of a large crowd in heaven saying,“Hallelujah! 2 GLT for his judgments{ are} true and righteous, for he has judged the great prostitute who was corrupting the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants from her hand.” BSB BSB: For His judgments are true and just. 3 GLT And they spoke a second{ time}:“Hallelujah! Yes, the smoke of her rises to the ages of the ages.” BSB BSB: And a second time they called out: “Hallelujah! Her smoke rises forever and ever.”
4 GLT And the 24 elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, the One sitting on the throne, saying,“Amen. Hallelujah!” BSB BSB: And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying: “Amen, Hallelujah!”
5 GLT And a voice came out from the throne, saying,“Praise our God, all his servants and the ones fearing him, the small and the great.” BSB BSB: Then a voice came from the throne, saying: “Praise our God, all you who serve Him, and those who fear Him, small and great alike!”
6 GLT And I heard as it were the sound of a great crowd and as it were the sound of many waters and as it were the sound of powerful thunder, saying,“Hallelujah! 8 GLT and it has been granted to her that she might be dressed in bright, clean fine linen.”(For fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.) BSB BSB: She was given clothing of fine linen, bright and pure.” For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints.
9 GLT And he says to me,“Write,' Blessed{ are} the ones having been called to the supper of the wedding of the Lamb.'” And he says to me,“These are true words of God.” BSB BSB: Then the angel told me to write, “Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
10 GLT And I fell before his feet to worship him, but he says to me,“See not! I am a fellow servant of you and your brothers having the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” BSB BSB: So I fell at his feet to worship him. But he told me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who rely on the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
11 GLT And I saw heaven having been opened and behold, a white horse and the one riding on it, being called Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war in righteousness, BSB BSB: Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.
12 GLT his eyes also{ being} a flame of fire, and many crowns(being} on his head, having a name written that no one knows except himself, BSB BSB: He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. He has a name written on Him that only He Himself knows.
13 GLT and having been clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and his name is called the Word of God. BSB BSB: He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God.
14 GLT And the armies in heaven were following him on white horses, having been clothed in fine linen, white and clean. BSB BSB: The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses.
15 GLT And from his mouth goes out a sharp sword so that with it he might strike the nations, and he will rule them with an iron scepter, and he tramples the winepress of the wine of the wrath of the fury of God, the Ruler of All. BSB BSB: And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
16 GLT And he has a name written on{ his} robe and on his thigh: King of Kings and Lord of Lords. BSB BSB: And He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 GLT And I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice, saying to all the birds flying in midheaven,“Come, be gathered together for the great supper of God, BSB BSB: Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God,
18 GLT so that you might eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of chiliarchs and the flesh of the mighty and the flesh of horses and of the ones sitting on them and the flesh of all, both of free and of slaves and of small and of great.” BSB BSB: so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of everyone slave and free, small and great.”
19 GLT And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies having been gathered to make war with the one sitting on the horse and with his army. BSB BSB: Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies assembled to wage war against the One seated on the horse, and against His army.
20 GLT And the beast was captured and with him the false prophet having performed signs before him, by which he deceived the ones having received the mark of the beast and the ones worshiping his image. The two were thrown living into the lake of fire burning with sulfur. BSB BSB: But the beast was captured along with the false prophet, who on its behalf had performed signs deceiving those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both the beast and the false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
21 GLT And the rest were killed by the sword of the one sitting on the horse, coming out from his mouth, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh. BSB BSB: And the rest were killed with the sword that proceeded from the mouth of the One seated on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
