1. 1ROBКогда филистимляне воевали с Израилем, израильтяне бежали от филистимлян и падали, поражённые, на горе Гелвуе.BSBBSB: Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.
2. 2ROBФилистимляне погнались за Саулом и его сыновьями и убили сыновей Саула: Ионафана, Авинадава, Мелхисуя.BSBBSB: The Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed Saul’s sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua.
3. 3ROBПротив Саула усилилось сражение. Стрелки бросились на него, и он был ими изранен.BSBBSB: When the battle intensified against Saul, the archers overtook him and wounded him.
4. 4ROBСаул сказал своему оруженосцу: «Обнажи свой меч и заколи меня им, чтобы не пришли эти необрезанные и не издевались надо мной». Но оруженосец не решился, потому что сильно испугался. Тогда Саул взял меч и упал на него.BSBBSB: Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and torture me!” But his armor-bearer was terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
5. 5ROBУвидев, что Саул умер, оруженосец сам упал на меч и умер.BSBBSB: When his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his own sword and died.
6. 6ROBТак умер Саул, три его сына и весь его дом вместе с ним.BSBBSB: So Saul died together with his three sons and all his house.
7. 7ROBКогда израильтяне, которые были в долине, увидели, что все бегут и что Саул и его сыновья погибли, то оставили свои города и разбежались, а филистимляне пришли и поселились в них.BSBBSB: When all the Israelites in the valley saw that the army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.
8. 8ROBНа другой день филистимляне пришли обирать убитых и нашли Саула и его сыновей, павших на Гелвуйской горе.BSBBSB: The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
9. 9ROBОни раздели его, сняли с него оружие, взяли его голову и послали по филистимской земле, чтобы объявить об этом перед их идолами и народом.BSBBSB: They stripped Saul, cut off his head, took his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people.
10. 10ROBЕго оружие положили в святилище своих богов, а голову воткнули в доме Дагона.BSBBSB: They put his armor in the temple of their gods and hung his head in the temple of Dagon.
11. 11ROBВесь галаадский Иавис услышал о том, что сделали филистимляне с Саулом.BSBBSB: When all the people of Jabesh-gilead heard about everything the Philistines had done to Saul,
12. 12ROBВсе сильные мужчины поднялись, взяли тело Саула и его сыновей, принесли их в Иавис, похоронили их кости под дубом в Иависе, и постились семь дней.BSBBSB: all their men of valor set out and retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons and brought them to Jabesh. And they buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh and fasted seven days.
13. 13ROBТак умер Саул за свой грех, который он сделал перед Господом. За то, что не исполнил слово Господа и обратился к волшебнице с вопросом,BSBBSB: So Saul died for his unfaithfulness to the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance,
14. 14ROBа не спросил у Господа. За это Он и умертвил его, а царство передал Давиду, сыну Иессея.BSBBSB: and he failed to inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.
