2по предвидению Бога Отца, через освящение Духом к послушанию и окроплению кровью Иисуса Христа: пусть благодать и мир умножатся вам.according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by His blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

3Благословен Бог и Отец нашего Господа Иисуса Христа, Который по Своей великой милости через воскресение Иисуса Христа возродил нас из мёртвых к живой надежде,Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4для вечного, чистого, неувядаемого наследства. Оно хранится на небесах для вас,and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,

5оберегаемых Божьей силой через веру к спасению, которое готово открыться в последнее время.who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

6Радуйтесь этому, даже если вы сейчас немного огорчены из-за различных испытаний, которые необходимы,In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in various trials

7чтобы ваша испытанная вера оказалась драгоценнее золота, которое погибнет, хотя и испытывается огнём, для похвалы чести и славы, когда явится Иисус Христос,so that the proven character of your faith—more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

8Которого вы, не видя, любите и в Которого, до сих пор не видя, верите и торжествуете в неописуемой и славной радости,Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

9достигая цели вашей веры— спасения души.now that you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

10К этому спасению относились поиски и исследования пророков, которые предсказывали о приготовленной для вас благодати,Concerning this salvation, the prophets who foretold the grace to come to you searched and investigated carefully,

11исследуя на Кого и на какое время указывал находившийся в них Дух Христа, когда Он предсказал о страданиях Христа и о последующей за ними славе.trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.

12Им было открыто, что не для них самих, а для вас послужило то, что теперь рассказано вам через проповедовавших Радостную Весть в Святом Духе, Который был послан с небес, во что желают проникнуть ангелы.It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, when they foretold the things now announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

13Поэтому будьте внимательны и приготовьте ваш разум. Полностью надейтесь на благодать, которая вам будет дана в явлении Иисуса Христа.Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober-minded. Set your hope fully on the grace to be given you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

14Как послушные дети, не допускайте прежние страсти, которые были в вашем незнании,As obedient children, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance.

15но глядя на пример Святого, Который призвал вас, будьте и сами святы во всех поступках,But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do,

16так как написано: «Будьте святы, потому что Я свят».for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

17И если вы называете Отцом Того, Кто беспристрастно судит каждого по делам, то со страхом проводите время вашего странствования.Since you call on a Father who judges each one’s work impartially, conduct yourselves in reverent fear during your stay as foreigners.

18Зная, что не тленным серебром или золотом вы выкуплены от суетной жизни, которую вам передали отцы,For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers,

19но драгоценной кровью Христа, как непорочного и чистого Ягнёнка,but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.

20предназначенного ещё до сотворения мира, но открывшегося в последнее время ради вас,He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.

21кто поверил через Него в Бога, Который воскресил Его из мёртвых и дал Ему славу, чтобы вы имели веру и надежду на Бога.Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him; and so your faith and hope are in God.

22Очистив ваши души через Духа послушание истине для непритворного братолюбия. Любите друг друга ревностно, от чистого сердца,Since you have purified your souls by obedience to the truth so that you have a genuine love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from a pure heart.

23как возрождённые не от тленного семени, но от нетленного, от живого и вечного Божьего Слова.For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

24Потому что тело каждого— как трава, и вся его слава— как цветение на траве: засохла трава– и её цветение опало.For, “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,

25Но Слово Господа остаётся навечно. И это то Слово, которое вам проповедано.but the word of the Lord stands forever.” And this is the word that was proclaimed to you.
