1. 1ROBФилистимляне сражались с израильтянами, израильские воины бежали от филистимлян и падали, сражённые, на горе Гелвуе.BSBBSB: Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.
2. 2ROBФилистимляне догнали Саула и его сыновей. Филистимляне убили Ионафана, Аминадава и Малхисуа, сыновей Саула.BSBBSB: The Philistines hotly pursued Saul and his sons, and they killed Saul’s sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua.
3. 3ROBБитва против Саула стала жестокой, стрелки из луков попадали в него, и он был очень изранен стрелками.BSBBSB: When the battle intensified against Saul, the archers overtook him and wounded him critically.
4. 4ROBСаул сказал своему оруженосцу: «Обнажи твой меч и заколи им меня, чтобы не пришли эти необрезанные, не убили меня и не издевались надо мной». Но оруженосец не хотел, потому что очень боялся. Тогда Саул взял свой меч и бросился на него.BSBBSB: Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and run me through and torture me!” But his armor-bearer was terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
5. 5ROBЕго оруженосец, увидев, что Саул умер, тоже бросился на свой меч и умер с ним.BSBBSB: When his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his own sword and died with him.
6. 6ROBТак в тот день погиб Саул, три его сына, его оруженосец, а также все его люди.BSBBSB: So Saul, his three sons, his armor-bearer, and all his men died together that same day.
7. 7ROBИзраильтяне, жившие на стороне долины и за Иорданом, видя, что израильские воины обратились в бегство, и что Саул и его сыновья умерли, оставили свои города и бежали, а филистимляне пришли и заняли их.BSBBSB: When the Israelites along the valley and those on the other side of the Jordan saw that the army of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.
8. 8ROBНа другой день филистимляне пришли грабить убитых и нашли Саула и трёх его сыновей, павших на гелвуйской горе.BSBBSB: The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
9. 9ROBИ отсекли ему голову, сняли с него оружие и послали по всей филистимской земле, чтобы сообщить об этом в капищах своих идолов и всему народу.BSBBSB: They cut off Saul’s head, stripped off his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temples of their idols and among their people.
10. 10ROBОни положили оружие Саула в капище Астарты, а его тело повесили на стене Беф-Сана.BSBBSB: They put his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths and hung his body on the wall of Beth-shan.
11. 11ROBЖители галаадского Иависа услышали о том, как филистимляне поступили с Саулом.BSBBSB: When the people of Jabesh-gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul,
12. 12ROBВсе сильные люди поднялись, шли всю ночь, взяли тело Саула и тела его сыновей со стены Беф-Сана, пришли в Иавис и там сожгли их.BSBBSB: all their men of valor set out, journeyed all night, and retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of Beth-shan. When they arrived at Jabesh, they burned the bodies there.
13. 13ROBОни взяли их кости, похоронили под дубом в Иависе и постились семь дней.BSBBSB: Then they took their bones and buried them under the tamarisk tree in Jabesh, and they fasted seven days.
