1. 1ROBОт Симона Петра, раба и апостола Иисуса Христа, тем, кто одинаково с нами принял драгоценную веру по праведности нашего Бога и Спасителя Иисуса Христа:BSBBSB: Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:
2. 2ROBпусть умножатся вам благодать и мир в познании Бога и Иисуса Христа, нашего Господа.BSBBSB: Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
3. 3ROBКак от Его Божественной силы нам даровано всё необходимое для жизни и почтения Бога через познание Призвавшего нас славой и добродетелью,BSBBSB: His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
4. 4ROBкоторыми дарованы нам великие и драгоценные обещания, чтобы вы через них стали причастниками Божественной природы, избежав развращения страстями, которые в мире,–BSBBSB: Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
5. 5ROBто вы, прилагая к этому всё старание, покажите в вашей вере добродетель, в добродетели знание,BSBBSB: For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge;
6. 6ROBв знании воздержание, в воздержании стойкость, в стойкости благочестие,BSBBSB: and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
7. 7ROBв благочестии братолюбие, в братолюбии любовь.BSBBSB: and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.
8. 8ROBЕсли у вас это есть и умножается, то вы не останетесь без успеха и плода в познании нашего Господа Иисуса Христа.BSBBSB: For if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9. 9ROBА в ком нет этого, тот слеп, закрыл глаза, забыл об очищении прежних своих грехов.BSBBSB: But whoever lacks these traits is nearsighted to the point of blindness, having forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
10. 10ROBПоэтому, братья, старайтесь делать ваше призвание и избрание более твёрдыми. Так поступая, никогда не споткнётесь,BSBBSB: Therefore, brothers, strive to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble,
11. 11ROBпотому что так откроется вам свободный вход в вечное Царство нашего Господа и Спасителя Иисуса Христа.BSBBSB: and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
12. 12ROBПоэтому я никогда не перестану напоминать вам об этом, хотя вам это известно, и вы утверждены в настоящей истине.BSBBSB: Therefore I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are established in the truth you now have.
13. 13ROBПока я нахожусь в этой телесной хижине, считаю справедливым пробуждать вас напоминанием,BSBBSB: I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of my body,
14. 14ROBзная, что скоро должен оставить мою хижину, как открыл мне наш Господь Иисус Христос.BSBBSB: because I know that this tent will soon be laid aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
15. 15ROBБуду же стараться, чтобы вы и после моего ухода всегда напоминали себе об этом.BSBBSB: And I will make every effort to ensure that after my departure, you will be able to recall these things at all times.
16. 16ROBПотому что мы рассказали вам о силе и пришествии нашего Господа Иисуса Христа, не полагаясь на хитроумные сказки, но сами являясь свидетелями Его величия.BSBBSB: For we did not follow cleverly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
17. 17ROBВедь Он принял от Бога Отца честь и славу, когда от величественной славы донёсся к Нему такой голос: «Это Мой любимый Сын, в Котором Моя Радость!»BSBBSB: For He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
18. 18ROBИ мы слышали этот голос, который прозвучал с небес, когда были с Ним на святой горе.BSBBSB: And we ourselves heard this voice from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
19. 19ROBПритом мы имеем верное пророческое Слово, и вы хорошо делаете, что обращаетесь к нему, как к светильнику, который сияет в тёмном месте, пока не наступит рассвет и утренняя звезда не взойдёт в ваших сердцах,BSBBSB: We also have the word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
20. 20ROBзная прежде всего то, что никакое пророчество в Писании нельзя разъяснить самостоятельно.BSBBSB: Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation.
21. 21ROBПотому что никогда пророчество не было произнесено по воле человека, но его произносили святые Божьи люди, движимые Святым Духом.BSBBSB: For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
