1Некоторые, кто пришёл из Иудеи, учили братьев:«Если не обрежетесь по обряду Моисея, не сможете спастись».Then some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

2Когда у Павла и Варнавы с ними произошёл большой спор и разногласие, тогда Павлу, Варнаве и некоторым другим из них поручили по этому вопросу отправиться в Иерусалим к апостолам и пресвитерам.And after engaging these men in sharp debate, Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.

3После того, как церковь проводила их, они проходили через Финикию и Самарию и рассказывали об обращении язычников. Это вызывало большую радость во всех братьях.Sent on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, recounting the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy to all the brothers.

4Когда они пришли в Иерусалим, церковь, апостолы и пресвитеры приняли их, и они рассказали обо всём, что Бог сделал им и как язычникам открыл дверь веры.On their arrival in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and apostles and elders, to whom they reported all that God had done through them.

5Тогда некоторые верующие из фарисеев говорили, что язычников нужно обрезывать и требовать от них соблюдать закон Моисея».But some believers from the party of the Pharisees stood up and declared, “The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to obey the law of Moses.”

6Апостолы и пресвитеры собрались для рассмотрения этого вопроса.So the apostles and elders met to look into this matter.

7После долгих споров Пётр встал и сказал им:«Братья! Вы знаете, что Бог с первого дня избрал меня, чтобы через меня язычники услышали слова Радостной Вести и поверили.After much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you that the Gentiles would hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.

8Бог, Сердцеведец, для свидетельства подарил им Святого Духа, как и нам.And God, who knows the heart, showed His approval by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as He did to us.

9И не оставил никакой разницы между нами и ими, очистив верой их сердца.He made no distinction between us and them, for He cleansed their hearts by faith.

10Зачем вы теперь испытываете Бога, желая положить на шеи учеников ярмо, которое не смогли понести ни наши отцы, ни мы?Now then, why do you test God by placing on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear?

11Но мы верим, что и мы, и они спасёмся благодатью Господа Иисуса Христа».On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

12Тогда всё собрание замолчало и слушало что Варнава и Павел рассказывали о знаках и чудесах, которые сотворил Бог через них среди язычников.The whole assembly fell silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul describing the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.

13После того, как они замолчали, начал речь Иаков и сказал:«Братья! Послушайте меня.When they had finished speaking, James declared, “Brothers, listen to me!

14Симон объяснил, как Бог изначально обратил внимание на язычников, чтобы для Своего имени собрать из них народ.Simon has told us how God first visited the Gentiles to take from them a people to be His own.

15И тому подтверждение слова пророков, как написано:The words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written:

16" Потом вернусь и воссоздам разрушенную скинию Давида, воссоздам то, что в ней разрушено и исправлю её,‘After this I will return and rebuild the fallen tent of David. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it,

17чтобы стали искать Господа другие люди и все народы, среди которых будет провозглашаться Моё имя",— говорит Господь, который творит всё это".so that the remnant of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does these things

18От вечности знает Бог все Свои дела.that have been known for ages.’

19Поэтому я думаю не утруждать тех язычников, кто обращается к Богу, иIt is my judgment, therefore, that we should not cause trouble for the Gentiles who are turning to God.

20написать им, чтобы они воздерживались от осквернённого идолами, от разврата, удавленины и крови, и чтобы не делали другим того, чего не хотят себе.Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals, and from blood.

21Потому что от древних родов по всем городам есть проповедующие закон Моисея и читающие его в синагогах каждую субботу».For Moses has been proclaimed in every city from ancient times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.”

22Тогда апостолы и пресвитеры вместе со всей церковью решили выбрать из своего окружения братьев и послать их в Антиохию с Павлом и Варнавой. Они выбрали Иуду, которого называли Варсавой, и Силу. Эти люди были главные среди братьев.Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to select men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas called Barsabbas and Silas, two leaders among the brothers,

23Они написали и вручили им следующее:«Мы, апостолы, пресвитеры и братья приветствуем братьев из язычников, которые живут в Антиохии, Сирии и Киликии. Радуйтесь!and sent them with this letter: The apostles and the elders, your brothers, To the brothers among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.

24Мы услышали, что те, кто от нас ушёл, своими словами смутили вас и встревожили ваши души. Они говорят, что вы должны обрезываться и соблюдать закон, но мы не поручали им этого.It has come to our attention that some went out from us without our authorization and unsettled you, troubling your minds by what they said.

25Поэтому мы единодушно собрались и решили выбрать мужчин, которых можем послать к вам с нашими любимыми Варнавой и Павлом.So we all agreed to choose men to send to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

26Эти люди отдали свои души за имя нашего Господа Иисуса Христа.men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

27Итак, мы послали Иуду и Силу, которые объяснят вам это на словах.Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to tell you in person the same things we are writing.

28Потому что Святой Дух и мы не хотим возлагать на вас больше необходимого бремени:It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond these essential requirements:

29воздерживаться от идоложертвенного, крови, удавленины, разврата, и не делать другим того, чего себе не хотите. Вы хорошо поступите, если будете соблюдать это. Будьте здоровы».You must abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.

30Когда отправленные пришли в Антиохию, они собрали людей и вручили письмо.So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they assembled the congregation and delivered the letter.

31Прочитав его, они очень обрадовались этому наставлению.When the people read it, they rejoiced at its encouraging message.

32Иуда и Сила, которые так же были пророками, многими словами наставляли братьев и укрепляли их.Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the brothers.

33Они пробыли там какое- то время, потом братьями с миром отпустили их к апостолам.After spending some time there, they were sent off by the brothers in peace to return to those who had sent them.

34Но Сила решил остаться там. А Иуда вернулся в Иерусалим.Not in the BSB

35Павел и Варнава жили в Антиохии, учили и проповедовали вместе с многими другими Слово Господа.But Paul and Barnabas remained at Antioch, along with many others, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord.

36Через несколько дней Павел сказал Варнаве:«Вернёмся и навестим наших братьев по всем городам, в которых мы проповедовали Слово Господа, узнаем, как они живут.Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us go back and visit the brothers in every town where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”

37Варнава хотел взять с собой Иоанна, которого называют Марком.Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark.

38Но Павел не хотел брать того, кто отстал от них в Памфилии, и не пошёл с ними на труд, на который они были посланы.But Paul thought it best not to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not accompanied them in the work.

39Из- за этого произошло огорчение, так что они разлучились друг с другом. Варнава взял с собой Марка и отплыл на Кипр.Their disagreement was so sharp that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus,

40А Павел выбрал Силу и, порученный братьями Божьей благодати, отправился в путь.but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.

41Он проходил через Сирию и Киликию и утверждал церкви.And he traveled through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
