2Но Стефан ответил:«Братья и отцы! Послушайте! Перед тем, как наш праотец Авраам переселился в Харран, Бог славы явился ему в МесопотамииAnd Stephen declared: “Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,

3и сказал:" Выйди из твоей земли, и от твоих родственников, и из дома твоего отца, и пойди в землю, которую покажу тебе".and told him, ‘Leave your country and your kindred and go to the land I will show you.’

4Тогда Авраам вышел из халдейской земли и поселился в Харране. Оттуда, после смерти его отца, Бог переселил Авраама на землю, в которой вы теперь живёте.So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After his father died, God brought him out of that place and into this land where you are now living.

5На ней Бог не дал Аврааму наследства ни на стопу ноги, но обещал дать землю во владение ему и его потомству тогда, когда у него ещё не было детей.He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground. But God promised to give possession of the land to Abraham and his descendants, even though he did not yet have a child.

6Бог сказал Аврааму, что его потомки будут переселенцами в чужой земле, будут в рабстве и в угнетении четыреста лет.God told him that his descendants would be foreigners in a strange land, and that they would be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.

7" Но Я,— сказал Бог— буду судить тот народ, у которого они будут рабами. После этого они выйдут оттуда и будут служить Мне на этом месте".‘But I will punish the nation that enslaves them,’ God said, ‘and afterward they will come forth and worship Me in this place.’

8Бог дал Аврааму завет обрезания. У Авраама родился Исаак, и он обрезал его в восьмой день. У Исаака родился Иаков, а от Иакова родилось двенадцать патриархов.Then God gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision, and Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day. And Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob of the twelve patriarchs.

9Патриархи из- за зависти продали Иосифа в Египет. Но Бог был с Иосифом.Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him

10Он избавил его от всех скорбей, дал ему мудрость и милость фараона, правителя Египта. Фараон поставил его начальником над Египтом и над всем своим домом.and rescued him from all his troubles. He granted Joseph favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt, who appointed him ruler over Egypt and all his household.

11После во всём Египте и Ханаане наступил голод и великое бедствие, и наши отцы не могли найти пропитание.Then famine and great suffering swept across Egypt and Canaan, and our fathers could not find food.

12Когда Иаков услышал, что в Египте есть хлеб, то послал наших отцов туда в первый раз.When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our fathers on their first visit.

13А когда они пришли во второй раз, Иосиф открылся своим братьям и фараон узнал про род Иосифа.On their second visit, Joseph revealed his identity to his brothers, and his family became known to Pharaoh.

14Иосиф отправил за своим отцом Иаковом и за всеми своими родственниками, которых было семьдесят пять человек.Then Joseph sent for his father Jacob and all his relatives, seventy-five in all.

15Иаков переселился в Египет, и там он и наши отцы умерли.So Jacob went down to Egypt, where he and our fathers died.

16Их перенесли в Сихем и положили в гробницу, которую Авраам купил за цену серебра у сынов Еммора в Сихеме.Their bones were carried back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor at Shechem for a price he paid in silver.

17Когда приближалось время исполниться обещанию, о котором клялся Бог Аврааму, народ в Египте рос и увеличивалсяAs the time drew near for God to fulfill His promise to Abraham, our people in Egypt increased greatly in number.

18до тех пор, пока не пришёл к власти другой правитель, который не знал Иосифа.Then another king, who knew nothing of Joseph, arose over Egypt.

19Он жестоко поступал с нашим народом, притеснял наших отцов, принуждал их выбрасывать своих младенцев, чтобы они не оставались в живых.He exploited our people and oppressed our fathers, forcing them to abandon their infants so they would die.

20В это время родился Моисей. Он был прекрасен перед Богом. Три месяца его вскармливали в доме отца.At that time Moses was born, and he was beautiful in the sight of God. For three months he was nurtured in his father’s house.

21А когда он был брошен, его взяла дочь фараона и воспитала у себя, как сына.When he was set outside, Pharaoh’s daughter took him and brought him up as her own son.

22Моисей был научен всей мудрости египтян и был силён в словах и делах.So Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.

23Когда ему исполнилось сорок лет, он решил посетить своих братьев, сыновей Израиля.When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.

24Когда Моисей увидел, что одного из них несправедливо обидели, то заступился и убил египтянина, чтобы отомстить за оскорблённого.And when he saw one of them being mistreated, Moses went to his defense and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian who was oppressing him.

25Он думал, что его братья поймут, что его рукой Бог даёт им спасение, но они не поняли.He assumed his brothers would understand that God was using him to deliver them, but they did not.

26На следующий день, когда некоторые из них дрались, он появился и пытался примирить их. Моисей сказал:" Вы же братья. Зачем обижаете друг друга?"The next day he came upon two Israelites who were fighting, and he tried to reconcile them, saying, ‘Men, you are brothers. Why are you mistreating each other?’

27Но тот, кто обижал ближнего, оттолкнул Моисея и сказал:" Кто тебя поставил начальником и судьёй над нами?But the man who was abusing his neighbor pushed Moses aside and said, ‘Who made you ruler and judge over us?

28Может, ты хочешь убить и меня, как вчера убил египтянина?"Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’

29Моисей из- за этих слов убежал и стал переселенцем в мадиамской земле. Там у него родились два сына.At this remark, Moses fled to the land of Midian, where he lived as a foreigner and had two sons.

30Через сорок лет в пустыне у горы Синай Моисею явился Ангел Господа в пламени горящего тернового куста.After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.

31Моисей удивился видению. А когда он подошёл рассмотреть это, услышал голос Господа:When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight. As he approached to look more closely, the voice of the Lord came to him:

32" Я Бог твоих отцов, Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова". От страха Моисей задрожал и не смел смотреть.‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.’ Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.

33Господь сказал ему:" Сними обувь с твоих ног, потому что место, на котором ты стоишь,– это святая земля.Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.

34Я вижу бедствие Моего народа в Египте и слышу его стон. Я сошёл избавить его: итак, подойди, Я пошлю тебя в Египет".I have indeed seen the oppression of My people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’

35Этому Моисею, от которого отвернулись израильтяне, сказав:" Кто тебя поставил начальником и судьёй?" Бог явился через Ангела в терновом кусте, и именно его Бог послал начальником и избавителем.This Moses, whom they had rejected with the words, ‘Who made you ruler and judge?’ is the one whom God sent to be their ruler and redeemer through the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

36Именно Моисей вывел их и совершал чудеса и знаки на египетской земле, в Красном море и в пустыне на протяжении сорока лет.He led them out and performed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and for forty years in the wilderness.

37Это тот Моисей, который сказал сыновьям Израиля:" Господь, ваш Бог, поставит вам Пророка, как меня, из ваших братьев– Его слушайте".This is the same Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.’

38Это тот, кто был в собрании в пустыне с Ангелом, который говорил ему на горе Синай, кто был с нашими праотцами и кто принял живые слова, чтобы передать нам.He was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers. And he received living words to pass on to us.

39Это тот, кого наши праотцы не хотели слушать, но отказались от него и обратились сердцами своими к Египту.But our fathers refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.

40Они сказали Аарону:" Сделай нам богов, которые пойдут впереди нас, потому что мы не знаем, что случилось с Моисеем, который вывел нас из Египта".They said to Aaron, ‘Make us gods who will go before us! As for this Moses who led us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him.’

41И в те дни они сделали телёнка, принесли идолу жертву и веселились перед делом своих рук.At that time they made a calf and offered a sacrifice to the idol, rejoicing in the works of their hands.

42Бог же отвернулся от них и оставил их служить небесному воинству, как написано в книге пророков:" Дом Израиля! Разве в течение сорока лет в пустыне вы приносили Мне заколотых животных и жертвы?But God turned away from them and gave them over to the worship of the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: ‘Did you bring Me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

43Вы выбрали скинию Молоха и звезду вашего бога Ремфана, выбрали изображения, которые вы сделали, чтобы поклоняться им, поэтому Я переселю вас дальше Вавилона".You have taken along the tabernacle of Molech and the star of your god Rephan, the idols you made to worship. Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Babylon.’

44В пустыне у наших отцов была скиния свидетельства. Её сделали по образцу, который увидел Моисей и о котором велел Говоривший Моисею.Our fathers had the tabernacle of the Testimony with them in the wilderness. It was constructed exactly as God had directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen.

45Наши праотцы с Иисусом получили её и внесли в землю народов, которых Бог выгнал от лица наших праотцов. Так было до дней Давида,And our fathers who received it brought it in with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations God drove out before them. It remained until the time of David,

46который нашёл благодать перед Богом и молил найти дом для Бога Иакова.who found favor in the sight of God and asked to provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.

47Соломон же построил Ему дом.But it was Solomon who built the house for Him.

48Но Всевышний не живёт в рукотворном доме, как говорит пророк:However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:

49" Небо– Мой престол, а земля– подножие Моих ног. Какой дом построите Мне,— говорит Господь,— или какое место для Моего покоя?‘Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. What kind of house will you build for Me, says the Lord, or where will My place of repose be?

50Разве не Моя рука сотворила всё это?"Has not My hand made all these things?’

51Упрямые, с необрезанным сердцем и ушами! Вы всегда противитесь Святому Духу– вы такие же, как и ваши праотцы.You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did.

52Кого из пророков не преследовали ваши праотцы? Они убили тех, кто прежде сообщил о приходе Праведника. А теперь вы стали Его предателями и убийцами.Which of the prophets did your fathers fail to persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One. And now you are His betrayers and murderers—

53Вы приняли закон через наставления ангелов и не сохранили его».you who received the law ordained by angels, yet have not kept it.”

54Услышав это, их сердца разрывались, и они скрежетали на него зубами.On hearing this, the members of the Sanhedrin were enraged, and they gnashed their teeth at him.

55А Стефан, наполненный Святым Духом, посмотрел на небо и увидел славу Божию и Иисуса, Который стоял с правой стороны от Бога.But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked intently into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

56Стефан сказал:«Я вижу раскрытые небеса и Сына Человеческого, Который стоит с правой стороны от Бога».“Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

57Но они, закричав громким голосом, закрыли свои уши и все вместе бросились на него.At this they covered their ears, cried out in a loud voice, and rushed together at him.

58Они вывели его за город и стали побивать камнями. Свидетели положили свою одежду у ног юноши по имени СавлThey dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile the witnesses laid their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.

59и побивали камнями Стефана, который обращался к Господу и говорил:«Господь Иисус! Прими мой дух».While they were stoning him, Stephen appealed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

60Потом преклонил колени и громко закричал:«Господь! Не засчитай им этот грех». И сказав это, Стефан умер.Falling on his knees, he cried out in a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
