1 ROB Когда Господь, твой Бог, уничтожит народы, землю которых даёт тебе Господь, твой Бог, и ты вступишь в наследие после них и поселишься в их городах и домах, BSB BSB: When the LORD your God has cut off the nations whose land He is giving you, and when you have driven them out and settled in their cities and houses,
2 ROB отдели три города на земле, которую Господь, твой Бог, даёт тебе во владение. BSB BSB: then you are to set apart for yourselves three cities within the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.
3 ROB Проложи дорогу и раздели на три части всю землю, которую Господь, твой Бог, даёт тебе во владение. Они будут служить убежищем любому убийце. BSB BSB: You are to build roads for yourselves and divide into three regions the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, so that any manslayer can flee to these cities.
4 ROB Вот какой убийца может убежать туда и остаться в живых, если он убил своего ближнего ненамеренно и не был ему врагом ни вчера, ни позавчера. BSB BSB: Now this is the situation regarding the manslayer who flees to one of these cities to save his life, having killed his neighbor accidentally, without intending to harm him:
5 ROB Если кто-то пойдёт со своим ближним в лес рубить дрова, и он замахнётся топором, чтобы срубить дерево, но соскочит железо с топорища, попадёт в ближнего, и тот умрёт, то пусть он убежит в один из городов, чтобы остаться в живых. BSB BSB: If he goes into the forest with his neighbor to cut timber and swings his axe to chop down a tree, but the blade flies off the handle and strikes and kills his neighbor, he may flee to one of these cities to save his life.
6 ROB Иначе если путь будет далёким, мститель за кровь в ярости сердца может погнаться за убийцей, догнать и убить его, хотя он не заслуживает смерти, потому что не был врагом ни вчера, ни позавчера. BSB BSB: Otherwise, the avenger of blood might pursue the manslayer in a rage, overtake him if the distance is great, and strike him dead though he did not deserve to die, since he did not intend any harm.
7 ROB Поэтому я и велел тебе отделить у себя три города. BSB BSB: This is why I am commanding you to set apart for yourselves three cities.
8 ROB Когда же Господь, твой Бог, расширит твои границы, как Он клялся твоим праотцам, Он даст тебе всю землю, которую обещал дать им,— BSB BSB: And if the LORD your God enlarges your territory, as He swore to your fathers, and gives you all the land He promised them,
9 ROB если ты будешь соблюдать и исполнять все заповеди, которые я даю тебе сегодня, любить Господа, твоего Бога, и ходить Его путями каждый день. Тогда к этим трём городам прибавь ещё три города, BSB BSB: and if you carefully keep all these commandments I am giving you today, loving the LORD your God and walking in His ways at all times, then you are to add three more cities to these three.
10 ROB чтобы не проливалась кровь невинного на твоей земле, которую Господь, твой Бог, даёт тебе во владение, и чтобы не было на тебе вины за кровь. BSB BSB: Thus innocent blood will not be shed in the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, so that you will not be guilty of bloodshed.
11 ROB Если кто-то будет врагом своему ближнему и будет его подстерегать, нападёт на него и убьёт, а после убежит в один из этих городов, BSB BSB: If, however, a man hates his neighbor and lies in wait, attacks him and kills him, and then flees to one of these cities,
12 ROB то старейшины его города должны послать за ним, чтобы забрать его оттуда и передать в руки мстителя за кровь, чтобы тот умер. BSB BSB: the elders of his city must send for him, bring him back, and hand him over to the avenger of blood to die.
13 ROB Не щади его. Смой с Израиля кровь невинного, и тебе будет хорошо. BSB BSB: You must show him no pity. You are to purge from Israel the guilt of shedding innocent blood, that it may go well with you.
14 ROB Не передвигай границу твоего ближнего, которую провели праотцы в твоём владении, доставшемся тебе в земле, которую Господь, твой Бог, даёт тебе во владение. BSB BSB: You must not move your neighbor’s boundary marker, which was set up by your ancestors to mark the inheritance you shall receive in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.
15 ROB Недостаточно одного свидетеля против человека в какой-либо вине и в каком-либо преступлении, и в каком-либо грехе, которым он согрешит. Дело состоится только при словах двух или трёх свидетелей. BSB BSB: A lone witness is not sufficient to establish any wrongdoing or sin against a man, regardless of what offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
16 ROB Если выступит против кого-нибудь несправедливый свидетель, обвиняя его в преступлении, BSB BSB: If a false witness testifies against someone, accusing him of a crime,
17 ROB то пусть оба этих человека, у которых ссора, предстанут перед Господом, перед священниками и перед судьями, которые будут в то время. BSB BSB: both parties to the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD, before the priests and judges who are in office at that time.
19 ROB то сделайте ему то же самое, что он задумал сделать против своего брата. И так удалите зло среди вас. BSB BSB: you must do to him as he intended to do to his brother. So you must purge the evil from among you.
20 ROB Пусть и другие услышат, испугаются и не будут больше делать зло среди вас. BSB BSB: Then the rest of the people will hear and be afraid, and they will never again do anything so evil among you.
21 ROB Не щадите: жизнь за жизнь, глаз за глаз, зуб за зуб, руку за руку, ногу за ногу. BSB BSB: You must show no pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, and foot for foot.
