1Но Господь сказал Моисею:«Смотри, Я поставил тебя богом перед фараоном, а твой брат Аарон, будет твоим пророком.The LORD answered Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.

2Ты будешь говорить всё, что Я тебе повелю, а твой брат Аарон будет говорить фараону, чтобы он отпустил сыновей Израиля из своей земли.You are to speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his land.

3Но Я ожесточу сердце фараона и совершу множество Моих знамений и чудес в Египте.But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I will multiply My signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,

4Фараон вас не послушает, и Я наложу Мою руку на Египет и великими судами выведу Моё войско, Мой народ, сыновей Израиля, из Египта.Pharaoh will not listen to you. Then I will lay My hand on Egypt, and by mighty acts of judgment I will bring the divisions of My people the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.

5Тогда узнают египтяне, что Я Господь, когда протяну Мою руку на Египет и выведу сыновей Израиля из их среды».And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out from among them.”

6Моисей и Аарон сделали всё так, как повелел им Господь.So Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded them.

7Моисею было восемьдесят лет, а Аарону восемьдесят три года, когда они стали говорить c фараоном.Moses was eighty years old and Aaron was eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.

8Господь сказал Моисею и Аарону:The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

9«Если фараон вам скажет:" Сделайте чудо", то ты скажи Аарону:" Возьми твой посох и брось перед фараоном",– он превратится в змею"».“When Pharaoh tells you, ‘Perform a miracle,’ you are to say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a serpent.”

10Моисей и Аарон пришли к фараону и сделали так, как велел Господь. Аарон бросил свой посох перед фараоном и его рабами, и он превратился в змею.So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent.

11Фараон призвал мудрецов и колдунов. Эти колдуны сделали то же самое своим колдовством.But Pharaoh called the wise men and sorcerers and magicians of Egypt, and they also did the same things by their magic arts.

12Каждый из них бросил свой посох, и они превратились в змей, но посох Аарона проглотил их посохи.Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up the other staffs.

13Сердце фараона ожесточилось, и он их не послушал, как и говорил Господь.Still, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.

14Господь сказал Моисею:«Упрямо сердце фараона, он не хочет отпустить народ.Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is unyielding; he refuses to let the people go.

15Завтра пойди к фараону, и когда он выйдет к воде, ты встань у него на пути, на берегу реки. Посох, который превращался в змею, возьми в рукуGo to Pharaoh in the morning as you see him walking out to the water. Wait on the bank of the Nile to meet him, and take in your hand the staff that was changed into a snake.

16и скажи ему:" Господь, Бог евреев, послал меня сказать тебе:" Отпусти Мой народ, чтобы он совершил Мне служение в пустыне. Но ты до сих пор не послушался.Then say to him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to tell you: Let My people go, so that they may worship Me in the wilderness. But until now you have not listened.

17Так говорит Господь:" Из этого узнаешь, что Я Господь: вот этим посохом, который в моей руке, я ударю по воде реки, и она превратится в кровь.This is what the LORD says: By this you will know that I am the LORD. Behold, with the staff in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will turn to blood.

18Рыба в реке умрёт, река станет зловонием, и египтянам омерзительно будет пить воду из реки"».The fish in the Nile will die, the river will stink, and the Egyptians will be unable to drink its water.’”

19Господь сказал Моисею:«Скажи Аарону:" Возьми свой посох и протяни руку на воды египтян: на их реки, на их потоки, на их озёра и на всякое хранилище их вод– и всё превратится в кровь. Будет кровь по всей земле Египта и в деревянных, и в каменных сосудах".And the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt—over their rivers and canals and ponds and all the reservoirs—that they may become blood.’ There will be blood throughout the land of Egypt, even in the vessels of wood and stone.”

20Моисей и Аарон сделали, как велел Господь. Аарон поднял посох, ударил по воде в реке перед фараоном и его рабами, и вся вода в реке превратилась в кровь.Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded; in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials, Aaron raised the staff and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was turned to blood.

21Рыба в реке вымерла, река стала зловонной, и египтяне не могли пить из неё воду. Была кровь по всей египетской земле.The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. And there was blood throughout the land of Egypt.

22Жрецы Египта сделали то же своим колдовством. Сердце фараона опять ожесточилось, и он не послушал их, как и говорил Господь.But the magicians of Egypt did the same things by their magic arts. So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.

23Фараон повернулся и пошёл в свой дом. Его сердце не было тронуто и этим.Instead, Pharaoh turned around, went into his palace, and did not take any of this to heart.

24Все египтяне стали копать около реки, чтобы найти питьевую воду, потому что не могли пить воду из реки.So all the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, because they could not drink the water from the river.

25После того, как Господь поразил реку, прошло семь дней.And seven full days passed after the LORD had struck the Nile.
