3из потомков Шехании, из потомков Пароша— Захария и с ним по родословному списку сто пятьдесят мужчин;of the descendants of Shecaniah; from the descendants of Parosh, Zechariah, and with him were registered 150 men;

4из потомков Пахаф- Моава— Эльегоенай, сын Зерахии, и с ним двести мужчин;from the descendants of Pahath-Moab, Eliehoenai son of Zerahiah, and with him 200 men;

5из потомков Шехания— сын Яхазиила, и с ним триста мужчин;from the descendants of Zattu, Shecaniah son of Jahaziel, and with him 300 men;

6из потомков Адина— Евед, сын Ионафана, и с ним пятьдесят мужчин;from the descendants of Adin, Ebed son of Jonathan, and with him 50 men;

7из потомков Елама— Иешаия, сын Афалии, и с ним семьдесят мужчин;from the descendants of Elam, Jeshaiah son of Athaliah, and with him 70 men;

8из потомков Сафатии— Зевадия, сын Михаила, и с ним восемьдесят мужчин;from the descendants of Shephatiah, Zebadiah son of Michael, and with him 80 men;

9из потомков Иоава— Овадия, сын Иехиела, и с ним двести восемнадцать мужчин;from the descendants of Joab, Obadiah son of Jehiel, and with him 218 men;

10из потомков Шеломиф— сын Иосифии, и с ним сто шестьдесят мужчин;from the descendants of Bani, Shelomith son of Josiphiah, and with him 160 men;

11из потомков Бевая— Захария, сын Бевая, и с ним двадцать восемь мужчин;from the descendants of Bebai, Zechariah son of Bebai, and with him 28 men;

12из потомков Азгада— Иоханан, сын Гаккатана, и с ним сто десять мужчин;from the descendants of Azgad, Johanan son of Hakkatan, and with him 110 men;

13из потомков Адоникама— последние, вот их имена: Елифелет, Иеиел, Шемаия и с ними шестьдесят мужчин;from the later descendants of Adonikam, these were their names: Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them 60 men;

14из потомков Бигвая: Уфай и Заббуд, и с ними семьдесят мужчин.and from the descendants of Bigvai, both Uthai and Zaccur, and with them 70 men.

15Я собрал их у реки, впадающей в Агаву, и мы простояли там три дня. Когда я осмотрел народ и священников, то никого из потомков Левия там не нашёл.Now I assembled these exiles at the canal that flows to Ahava, and we camped there three days. And when I searched among the people and priests, I found no Levites there.

16И я послал позвать Елиезера, Ариэла, Шемаию, Элнафана, Иарива, Элнафана, Нафана, Захарию и Мешуллама— главных, Иоярива и Элнафана— учёных.Then I summoned the leaders: Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and Meshullam, as well as the teachers Joiarib and Elnathan.

17И дал им приказ для Иддо, главному в местности Касифье. Я сказал что им говорить Иддо и его братьям, храмовым слугам в местности Касифье, чтобы они привели к нам служителей для дома нашего Бога.And I sent them to Iddo, the leader at Casiphia, with a message for him and his kinsmen, the temple servants at Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.

18Так как добрая рука нашего Бога была над нами, они привели к нам Шеревию, умного человека из потомков Махлия, сына Левия, сына Израиля, а также его сыновей и братьев, восемнадцать человек;And since the gracious hand of our God was upon us, they brought us Sherebiah—a man of insight from the descendants of Mahli son of Levi, the son of Israel—along with his sons and brothers, 18 men;

19Хашавию и с ним Иешаию из потомков Мерария, его братьев и их сыновей, двадцать человек;also Hashabiah, together with Jeshaiah, from the descendants of Merari, and his brothers and their sons, 20 men.

20двести двадцать человек из храмовых слуг, которых дал Давид и его правители на помощь левитам. Все они названы поимённо.They also brought 220 of the temple servants, all designated by name. David and the officials had appointed them to assist the Levites.

21Я объявил там пост у реки Агавы, чтобы нам смириться перед лицом нашего Бога, просить у Него хорошего пути для себя, для наших детей и для всего нашего имущества,And there by the Ahava Canal I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask Him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.

22так как мне было стыдно просить у царя войска и всадников для нашей защиты от врага в пути, потому что, говоря с царём, мы сказали:«Рука нашего Бога добра ко всем, ищущим Его, а ко всем, оставляющим Его,— Его сила и гнев!»For I was ashamed to ask the king for an escort of soldiers and horsemen to protect us from our enemies on the road, since we had told him, “The hand of our God is gracious to all who seek Him, but His great anger is against all who forsake Him.”

23Итак, мы постились и просили нашего Бога об этом, и Он услышал нас.So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He granted our request.

24Я отделил из начальников над священниками двенадцать человек: Шеревию, Хашавию и с ними десять человек из их братьев,Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests, together with Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers,

25и, взвесив, отдал им серебро, золото и сосуды— всё пожертвованное для дома нашего Бога, что пожертвовали царь, его советники, его правители и все израильтяне, находившиеся там.and I weighed out to them the contribution of silver and gold and the articles that the king, his counselors, his leaders, and all the Israelites there had offered for the house of our God.

26Я отдал им в руки по весу: серебра— шестьсот пятьдесят талантов, серебряных сосудов на сто талантов, золота— сто талантов,I weighed out into their hands 650 talents of silver, articles of silver weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,

27чаш золотых— двадцать, в тысячу драхм, и два сосуда из лучшей блестящей меди, драгоценной как золото.20 gold bowls valued at 1,000 darics, and two articles of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold.

28Я сказал им:«Вы— святыня Господу, и сосуды— святыня, и серебро и золото— добровольное приношение Господу, Богу ваших отцов.Then I told them, “You are holy to the LORD, and these articles are holy. The silver and gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.

29Будьте внимательны и сохраните это, пока по весу не сдадите всё начальникам над священниками и левитами и главам семейств Израиля в Иерусалиме, в хранилище при доме Господа.Guard them carefully until you weigh them out in the chambers of the house of the LORD in Jerusalem before the leading priests, Levites, and heads of the Israelite families.”

30Священники и левиты приняли взвешенное серебро, золото и сосуды, чтобы отнести в Иерусалим, в дом нашего Бога.So the priests and Levites took charge of the silver and gold and sacred articles that had been weighed out to be taken to the house of our God in Jerusalem.

31И в двенадцатый день первого месяца мы отправились от реки Агавы, чтобы идти в Иерусалим. Рука нашего Бога была над нами и спасала нас от руки врага и от подстерегающих нас в пути.On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem, and the hand of our God was upon us to protect us from the hands of the enemies and bandits along the way.

32Мы пришли в Иерусалим и находились там три дня.So we arrived at Jerusalem and rested there for three days.

33На четвёртый день мы сдали по весу серебро, золото и сосуды в дом нашего Бога, в руки священнику Меремофу, сыну Урии, Елеазару, сыну Финееса, и левитам Иозаваду, сыну Иисуса, и Ноадии, сыну Виннуя.On the fourth day, in the house of our God, we weighed out the silver and gold and sacred articles into the hand of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest. Eleazar son of Phinehas was with him, along with the Levites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.

34Всё по счёту и весу. И всё взвешенное было записано в то же время.Everything was verified by number and weight, and the total weight was recorded at that time.

35Пришедшие из плена переселенцы принесли во всесожжение Богу Израиля двенадцать молодых быков за весь Израиль, девяносто шесть баранов, семьдесят семь ягнят и двенадцать козлов в жертву за грех— всё это во всесожжение Господу.Then the exiles who had returned from captivity sacrificed burnt offerings to the God of Israel: 12 bulls for all Israel, 96 rams, 77 lambs, and a sin offering of 12 male goats. All this was a burnt offering to the LORD.

36Царские указы отдали царским правителям и начальникам областей за рекой, и они почтили народ и Божий дом.They also delivered the king’s edicts to the royal satraps and governors of the region west of the Euphrates, who proceeded to assist the people and the house of God.
