1Господь, Господь Саваоф, отнимет у Иерусалима и у Иуды поддержку и опору, любую поддержку хлебом и любую поддержку водой,For behold, the Lord GOD of Hosts is about to remove from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: the whole supply of food and water,

2храброго вождя и воина, судью и пророка, предсказателя и старейшину,the mighty man and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the soothsayer and the elder,

3начальника над пятьюдесятью и знатного, советника и умелого ремесленника, и искусного заклинателя.the commander of fifty and the dignitary, the counselor, the cunning magician, and the clever enchanter.

4И дам им в начальники юнцов, дети будут господствовать над ними.“I will make mere lads their leaders, and children will rule over them.”

5Люди будут угнетать друг друга, каждый своего ближнего. Юноша будет нагло превозноситься над стариком, а простолюдин— над знатным.The people will oppress one another, man against man, neighbor against neighbor; the young will rise up against the old, and the base against the honorable.

6Тогда ухватится человек за своего брата в доме своего отца и скажет: "У тебя есть одежда, будь нашим вождём, и пусть эти развалины будут под твоей рукой".A man will seize his brother within his father’s house: “You have a cloak—you be our leader! Take charge of this heap of rubble.”

7А он с клятвой скажет: "Я не могу перевязать ваши раны. В моём доме нет ни хлеба, ни одежды, не делайте меня вождём народа".On that day he will cry aloud: “I am not a healer. I have no food or clothing in my house. Do not make me leader of the people!”

8Так рушился Иерусалим и пал Иуда, потому что их язык и дела— против Господа, оскорбительны для Его славного взгляда.For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen because they spoke and acted against the LORD, defying His glorious presence.

9Выражение их лиц свидетельствует против них. Они рассказывают о своём грехе открыто, как жители Содома, и не скрывают это. Горе их душам! Они сами на себя навлекают зло.The expression on their faces testifies against them, and like Sodom they flaunt their sin; they do not conceal it. Woe to them, for they have brought disaster upon themselves.

10Скажите праведнику, что ему будет хорошо, ведь он будет есть плоды своих дел.Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their labor.

11А грешнику— горе, потому что ему будет расплата за дела его рук.Woe to the wicked; disaster is upon them! For they will be repaid with what their hands have done.

12Притеснители Моего народа— дети, и женщины господствуют над ним. Мой народ! Твои вожди вводят тебя в заблуждение и сбивают с пути.Youths oppress My people, and women rule over them. O My people, your guides mislead you; they turn you from your paths.

13Господь поднялся на суд и стоит, чтобы судить народы.The LORD arises to contend; He stands to judge the people.

14Господь начинает суд со старейшинами и правителями Своего народа: "Вы опустошили виноградник. Награбленное у бедного— в ваших домах.The LORD brings this charge against the elders and leaders of His people: “You have devoured the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your houses.

15Зачем вы притесняете Мой народ и угнетаете бедных?"— говорит Господь, Господь Саваоф.Why do you crush My people and grind the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord GOD of Hosts.

16И сказал Господь: "За то, что дочери Сиона высокомерны и ходят, вытянув шею и соблазняя взглядами, вышагивают плавной походкой, звеня цепочками на ногах,—The LORD also says: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty—walking with heads held high and wanton eyes, prancing and skipping as they go, jingling the bracelets on their ankles—

17оголит Господь темя дочерей Сиона, и откроет Господь их наготу.the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will make their foreheads bare.”

18В тот день Господь отнимет их украшения: цепочки для ног, солнышки, полумесяцы,In that day the Lord will take away their finery: their anklets and headbands and crescents;

20серьги, ожерелья, покрывала для лица, повязки для головы, браслеты, пояса, сосуды с духами, амулеты,their headdresses, ankle chains, and sashes; their perfume bottles and charms;

21перстни, кольца для носа,their signet rings and nose rings;

22праздничные одежды, накидки, платки, кошельки,their festive robes, capes, cloaks, and purses;

23зеркальца, тонкие накидки, диадемы и покрывала.and their mirrors, linen garments, tiaras, and shawls.

24И будет вместо аромата— зловоние, вместо пояса— верёвка, вместо завитых волос— плешь, вместо широкой накидки— узкая мешковина, вместо красоты— клеймо.Instead of fragrance there will be a stench; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of styled hair, baldness; instead of fine clothing, sackcloth; instead of beauty, shame.

25Твои мужчины погибнут от меча, и твои сильные— на войне.Your men will fall by the sword, and your warriors in battle.

26И ворота столицы будут вздыхать и плакать, и будет она, опустошённая, сидеть на земле".And the gates of Zion will lament and mourn; destitute, she will sit on the ground.
