1За шесть дней до Пасхи Иисус пришёл в Вифанию, откуда был умерший Лазарь, которого Он воскресил из мёртвых.Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, the hometown of Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

2Там Ему приготовили ужин. Марфа служила, а Лазарь был одним из возлежавших с Ним за трапезой.So they hosted a dinner for Jesus there. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with Him.

3Мария взяла фунт драгоценного чистого нардового мира, помазала ноги Иисуса и вытерла их своими волосами. От мира дом наполнился ароматом.Then Mary took about a pint of expensive perfume, made of pure nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

4Тогда один из Его учеников, Иуда Искариот, сын Симона, который хотел предать Его, спросил:But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was going to betray Him, asked,

5«Почему бы не продать это миро за триста динариев и не раздать нищим?»“Why wasn’t this perfume sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?”

6Он сказал это не потому, что заботился о нищих, но потому что был вором. У него был при себе ящик с деньгами, и он забирал то, что туда опускали.Judas did not say this because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money bag, he used to take from what was put into it.

7Иисус сказал:«Оставь её. Она сберегла это на день Моего погребения.“Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “She has kept this perfume in preparation for the day of My burial.

8Ведь нищих всегда имеете с собой, а Меня не всегда».The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.”

9Многие иудеи узнали, что Он там, и пришли не только из- за Иисуса, но чтобы увидеть и Лазаря, которого Он воскресил из мёртвых.Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there. And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

10А первосвященники решили убить и Лазаря,So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well,

11потому что из- за него многие иудеи приходили и верили в Иисуса.for on account of him many of the Jews were deserting them and believing in Jesus.

12На следующий день, когда услышали, что Иисус идёт в Иерусалим, множество людей, которые пришли на праздник,The next day the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.

13взяли ветви финиковых пальм, вышли Ему навстречу и громко говорили:«Осанна! Благословен Царь Израиля, Который идёт во имя Господа!»They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the King of Israel!”

14Иисус нашёл молодого осла и сел на него, как написано:Finding a young donkey, Jesus sat on it, as it is written:

15" Не бойся, дочь Сиона! Это твой Царь возвращается, сидя на молодом осле".“Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion. See, your King is coming, seated on the colt of a donkey.”

16Его ученики вначале не поняли этого, но, когда Иисус был прославлен, тогда вспомнили: как было о Нём написано, так и сделали Ему.At first His disciples did not understand these things, but after Jesus was glorified they remembered what had been done to Him, and they realized that these very things had also been written about Him.

17Народ, который был ранее с Ним, свидетельствовал, что Он вызвал Лазаря из гробницы и воскресил его из мёртвых.Meanwhile, many people who had been with Jesus when He called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.

18Потому и встретил Его народ, так как слышал, что Он сотворил это чудо.That is also why the crowd went out to meet Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.

19А Фарисеи говорили друг другу:«Видите, что у вас ничего не получается? Весь мир идёт за Ним».Then the Pharisees said to one another, “You can see that this is doing you no good. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!”

20Некоторые из тех, кто пришёл на поклонение в праздник, были еллины.Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.

21Они подошли к Филиппу, который был из галилейской Вифсаиды, и просили его:«Господин! Нам хочется видеть Иисуса».They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”

22Филипп пошёл и сказал об этом Андрею, и потом Андрей и Филипп сказали об этом Иисусу.Philip relayed this appeal to Andrew, and both of them went and told Jesus.

23Иисус ответил им:«Пришёл час прославиться Сыну Человеческому.But Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

24Истину, истину вам говорю: если пшеничное зерно, попав в землю, не умрёт, то останется одно, а если умрёт, то принесёт много плода.Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a seed. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.

25Тот, кто любит свою душу,– погубит её, а кто ненавидит свою душу в этом мире– сохранит её для вечной жизни.Whoever loves his life will lose it, but whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

26Кто служит Мне, пусть следует за Мной, и где Я, там будет и Мой слуга. Кто служит Мне, того почтит Мой Отец.If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

27Душа Моя теперь в смятении. Что Мне сказать? Отец! Избавь Меня от этого часа! Но для этого часа Я и пришёл.Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.

28Отец! Прославь Твоё имя». Тогда прозвучал голос с неба:«И прославил, и ещё прославлю».Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

29Народ, который стоял и слышал это, говорил:«Это гром», а другие говорили:«Ангел говорил Ему».The crowd standing there heard it and said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to Him.

30Иисус на это сказал:«Не для Меня был этот голос, но для народа.In response, Jesus said, “This voice was not for My benefit, but yours.

31Теперь этот мир осуждён. Теперь правитель этого мира будет изгнан вон.Now judgment is upon this world; now the prince of this world will be cast out.

32Когда Я буду вознесён от земли, всех привлеку к Себе».And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to Myself.”

33Это Иисус говорил, давая понять, какой смертью Он умрёт.He said this to indicate the kind of death He was going to die.

34Народ ответил Ему:«Мы слышали из закона, что Христос пребывает вечно. Как же Ты говоришь, что Сын Человеческий должен быть вознесён? Кто Этот Сын Человеческий?»The crowd replied, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever. So how can You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

35Тогда Иисус сказал им:«Ещё недолго свет будет с вами. Ходите, пока есть свет, чтобы вас не объяла тьма. Тот, кто ходит во тьме, не знает, куда идёт.Then Jesus told them, “For a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

36Пока свет с вами, верьте в свет— и будете сыновьями света». Сказав это, Иисус отошёл от них и скрылся.While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” After Jesus had spoken these things, He went away and was hidden from them.

37Столько чудес сотворил Он перед ними, и они не верили в Него.Although Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still did not believe in Him.

38Так сбылось слово пророка Исаии:" Господь! Кто поверил слышанному от нас? И кому открылась рука Господа?"This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

39Они не могли верить, потому что, как ещё сказал Исаия:For this reason they were unable to believe. For again, Isaiah says:

40" Этот народ ослеп своими глазами и окаменел своим сердцем. Они не видят глазами и не поймут сердцем, и не обратятся, чтобы Я исцелил их".“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.”

41Это Исаия сказал, когда видел Его славу и говорил о Нём.Isaiah said these things because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about Him.

42Впрочем, и из начальников многие поверили в Него, но из- за фарисеев не признавались, чтобы не быть отлучёнными от синагоги,Nevertheless, many of the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue.

43потому что человеческую славу полюбили больше, чем Божью.For they loved praise from men more than praise from God.

44Иисус громко сказал:«Тот, кто верит в Меня, не в Меня верит, но в Пославшего Меня.Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in Me does not believe in Me alone, but in the One who sent Me.

45И тот, кто видит Меня, видит Пославшего Меня.And whoever sees Me sees the One who sent Me.

46Я– свет. Я пришёл в мир, чтобы каждый верующий в Меня не оставался во тьме.I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.

47Если кто услышит Мои слова и не поверит, Я не сужу его, потому что Я пришёл не судить мир, но спасти мир.As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

48Для тех, кто отвергает Меня и не принимает Моих слов есть судья– слово, которое Я говорил. Оно будет судить его в последний день.There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

49Ведь Я говорил не от Себя, но пославший Меня Отец дал Мне заповедь, что говорить и что провозглашать.I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.

50И Я знаю, что Его заповедь– это вечная жизнь. Итак, то, что Я говорю, говорю, как сказал Мне Отец».And I know that His command leads to eternal life. So I speak exactly what the Father has told Me to say.”
