1 ROB Иисус, сын Навина, тайно послал из Ситтима двух разведчиков и сказал: «Пойдите, осмотрите землю и Иерихон». Они пошли, пришли в дом проститутки по имени Раав и остались там ночевать. BSB BSB: Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim, saying, “Go, inspect the land, especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there.
2 ROB Царю Иерихона было сказано: «Какие-то люди из сыновей Израиля пришли сюда этой ночью, чтобы разведать землю». BSB BSB: And it was reported to the king of Jericho: “Behold, some men of Israel have come here tonight to spy out the land.”
3 ROB Царь Иерихона послал сказать Раав: «Выдай людей, пришедших к тебе, которые вошли в твой дом, потому что они пришли разведать всю эту землю». BSB BSB: So the king of Jericho sent to Rahab and said, “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, for they have come to spy out the whole land.”
4 ROB Но женщина взяла тех двух людей, спрятала их и сказала: «Точно, приходили ко мне люди, но я не знала, откуда они. BSB BSB: But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them. So she said, “Yes, the men did come to me, but I did not know where they had come from.
5 ROB В сумерках, когда надо закрывать ворота, они ушли. Не знаю, куда они пошли, скорее гонитесь за ними, и вы догоните их». BSB BSB: At dusk, when the gate was about to close, the men went out, and I do not know which way they went. Pursue them quickly, and you may catch them!”
6 ROB А сама отвела их на крышу и спрятала в снопах льна, разложенных у неё на крыше. BSB BSB: (But Rahab had taken them up to the roof and hidden them among the stalks of flax that she had laid out there.)
7 ROB За ними гнались по дороге к Иордану до самой переправы. После того как вышли погнавшиеся за ними, ворота затворили. BSB BSB: So the king’s men set out in pursuit of the spies along the road to the fords of the Jordan, and as soon as they had gone out, the gate was shut.
8 ROB Прежде, чем они легли спать, она поднялась к ним на крышу BSB BSB: Before the spies lay down for the night, Rahab went up on the roof
9 ROB и сказала: «Я знаю, что Господь отдал вам эту землю, потому что вы навели на нас ужас, и все жители этой земли боятся вас, BSB BSB: and said to them, “I know that the LORD has given you this land and that the fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who dwell in the land are melting in fear of you.
10 ROB потому что мы слышали, как Господь высушил перед вами воду Красного моря, когда вы шли из Египта. И как вы поступили с двумя аморрейскими царями за Иорданом, с Сигоном и Огом, которых вы уничтожили. BSB BSB: For we have heard how the LORD dried up the waters of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites across the Jordan, whom you devoted to destruction.
11 ROB Когда мы услышали об этом, наше сердце ослабело, и из-за вас каждый из нас пал духом, потому что Господь, ваш Бог, это Бог на небе вверху и на земле внизу. BSB BSB: When we heard this, our hearts melted and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the LORD your God is God in the heavens above and on the earth below.
12 ROB Итак, поклянитесь мне Господом, что, как я оказала вам милость, так и вы окажете милость дому моего отца. Дайте мне верный знак, BSB BSB: Now therefore, please swear to me by the LORD that you will indeed show kindness to my family, because I showed kindness to you. Give me a sure sign
13 ROB что вы сохраните жизнь моему отцу и моей матери, моим братьям и сёстрам и всем, кто есть у них, и избавите наши души от смерти». BSB BSB: that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them, and that you will deliver us from death.”
14 ROB Эти люди сказали ей: «Душа наша вместо вас пусть будет отдана на смерть, если вы не доложите об этом нашем деле. Когда же Господь отдаст нам землю, мы окажем тебе милость и верность». BSB BSB: “Our lives for your lives!” the men agreed. “If you do not report our mission, we will show you kindness and faithfulness when the LORD gives us the land.”
15 ROB Она спустила их через окно по верёвке, так как её дом был в городской стене, и она жила в этой стене. BSB BSB: Then Rahab let them down by a rope through the window, since the house where she lived was built into the wall of the city.
16 ROB Она сказала им: «Идите на гору, чтобы не встретили вас преследующие, прячьтесь там три дня, пока не вернутся погнавшиеся, а потом идите своим путём». BSB BSB: “Go to the hill country,” she said, “so that your pursuers will not find you. Hide yourselves there for three days until they have returned; then go on your way.”
17 ROB Те люди сказали ей: «Мы будем свободны от клятвы тебе, которую ты с нас взяла, если не сделаешь так: BSB BSB: The men said to her, “We will not be bound by this oath you made us swear
18 ROB когда мы придём в эту землю, привяжи тёмно красную верёвку к окну, через которое ты нас спустила. Собери к себе в дом твоих отца и мать, твоих братьев и всё семейство твоего отца. BSB BSB: unless, when we enter the land, you have tied this scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you have brought your father and mother and brothers and all your family into your house.
19 ROB Но если кто-нибудь выйдет из дверей твоего дома, то его кровь на голове его, а мы будем свободны от клятвы тебе. Если кто-то будет с тобой в доме и чья-то рука коснётся его, то его кровь на нашей голове. BSB BSB: If anyone goes out the door of your house into the street, his blood will be on his own head, and we will be innocent. But if a hand is laid on anyone with you in the house, his blood will be on our heads.
20 ROB Если же ты выдашь наше дело, то мы также будем свободны от клятвы тебе, которую ты с нас взяла». BSB BSB: And if you report our mission, we will be released from the oath you made us swear.”
21 ROB Она сказала: «Пусть будет так, как вы сказали!»,— и отпустила их. Они пошли, а она привязала к окну тёмно-красную верёвку. BSB BSB: “Let it be as you say,” she replied, and she sent them away. And when they had gone, she tied the scarlet cord in the window.
22 ROB Они пошли на гору и пробыли там три дня, пока не вернулись гнавшиеся за ними. Гнавшиеся искали их по всей дороге и не нашли. BSB BSB: So the spies went out into the hill country and stayed there three days, until their pursuers had returned without finding them, having searched all along the road.
23 ROB Таким образом, эти два человека пошли назад, сошли с горы, перешли и пришли к Иисусу, сыну Навина, и пересказали ему всё, что с ними произошло. BSB BSB: Then the two men started back, came down from the hill country, and crossed the river. So they came to Joshua son of Nun and reported all that had happened to them.
24 ROB Они сказали Иисусу: «Господь, отдал всю эту землю в наши руки, и все жители земли в страхе перед нами». BSB BSB: “The LORD has surely delivered the entire land into our hands,” they said to Joshua. “Indeed, all who dwell in the land are melting in fear of us.”
