1Господь сказал Моисею:And the LORD said to Moses,

2«Отомсти мадианитянам за сыновей Израиля и потом отойдёшь к твоему народу».“Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites. After that, you will be gathered to your people.”

3Моисей сказал народу: «Вооружите людей на войну, чтобы они пошли против мадианитян совершить месть Господа над мадианитянами,So Moses told the people, “Arm some of your men for war, that they may go against the Midianites and execute the LORD’s vengeance on them.

4пошлите на войну от всех колен Израиля по тысяче».Send into battle a thousand men from each tribe of Israel.”

5Из израильских тысяч было отобрано по тысяче из колена— двенадцать тысяч, вооружённых на войну.So a thousand men were recruited from each tribe of Israel—twelve thousand armed for war.

6И послал Моисей на войну по тысяче из колен и Финееса, сына священника Елеазара, у которого были священные сосуды и сигнальные трубы.And Moses sent the thousand from each tribe into battle, along with Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, who took with him the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for signaling.

7Они пошли войной на Мадиама, как велел Господь Моисею, и убили всех их мужчин.Then they waged war against Midian, as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed every male.

8Вместе с ними убили пять мадиамских царей: Евия, Рекема, Цура, Хура и Реву. И убили мечом Валаама, сына Веора.Among the slain were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba—the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.

9Мадиамских женщин и их детей сыновья Израиля взяли в плен, а всё их имущество, скот и стада взяли в добычу.The Israelites captured the Midianite women and their children, and they plundered all their herds, flocks, and goods.

10А все их города и селения в их окрестностях сожгли огнём.Then they burned all the cities where the Midianites had lived, as well as all their encampments,

11Взяли всё захваченное и всю добычу, от человека до скота,and carried away all the plunder and spoils, both people and animals.

12и доставили захваченное, пленных и добычу к Моисею, священнику Елеазару и обществу сыновей Израиля, к лагерю на равнины Моава, которые у Иордана напротив Иерихона.They brought the captives, spoils, and plunder to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of Israel at the camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.

13Навстречу им из лагеря вышли Моисей, священник Елеазар и все начальники общества.And Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the congregation went to meet them outside the camp.

14Моисей разгневался на военачальников, начальников над тысячью и начальников над сотней, пришедших с войны,But Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who were returning from the battle.

15и сказал им: «Вы оставили в живых всех женщин?“Have you spared all the women?” he asked them.

16По совету Валаама они были для сыновей Израиля поводом к отступлению от Господа в угождение Фегору, за что и было поражение в обществе Господа.“Look, these women caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to turn unfaithfully against the LORD at Peor, so that the plague struck the congregation of the LORD.

17Итак, убейте всех детей мужского пола и всех женщин, которые познали мужчину.So now, kill all the boys, as well as every woman who has had relations with a man,

18А всех девочек, которые ещё не были с мужчинами, оставьте для себя в живых.but spare for yourselves every girl who has never had relations with a man.

19И за лагерем пробудьте семь дней. Любой, убивший человека и прикоснувшийся к убитому, должен очиститься в третий и в седьмой дни— вы и ваши пленные.All of you who have killed a person or touched the dead are to remain outside the camp for seven days. On the third day and the seventh day you are to purify both yourselves and your captives.

20Очистите всю одежду, все кожаные вещи, всё, сделанное из козьей шерсти, все деревянные сосуды».And purify every garment and leather good, everything made of goat’s hair, and every article of wood.”

21Священник Елеазар сказал воинам, ходившим на войну: «Вот постановление закона, который заповедал Господь Моисею:Then Eleazar the priest said to the soldiers who had gone into battle, “This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded Moses:

22«Золото, серебро, медь, железо, олово, свинецOnly the gold, silver, bronze, iron, tin, and lead—

23и всё, что проходит через огонь, проведите через огонь, чтобы оно очистилось. Помимо этого нужно очистить всё это и очистительной водой. Всё, что не проходит через огонь, проведите через воду.everything that can withstand the fire—must be put through the fire, and it will be clean. But it must still be purified with the water of purification. And everything that cannot withstand the fire must pass through the water.

24Постирайте вашу одежду в седьмой день и очиститесь, а после этого входите в лагерь».On the seventh day you are to wash your clothes, and you will be clean. After that you may enter the camp.”

25Господь сказал Моисею:The LORD said to Moses,

26«Ты, священник Елеазар и начальники племён общества сосчитайте добычу плена от человека до скота.“You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads of the congregation are to take a count of what was captured, both of man and beast.

27Раздели добычу пополам между воевавшими, ходившими на войну, и между всем обществом.Then divide the captives between the troops who went out to battle and the rest of the congregation.

28От воинов, ходивших на войну, возьми дань Господу по одной душе из каждых пятисот людей, крупного скота, ослов, мелкого скота.Set aside a tribute for the LORD from what belongs to the soldiers who went into battle: one out of every five hundred, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, or sheep.

29Возьми это из их половины и отдай священнику Елеазару в дар Господу.Take it from their half and give it to Eleazar the priest as an offering to the LORD.

30Возьми из половины сыновей Израиля по одной доле из пятидесяти— из людей, из крупного скота, из ослов и мелкого скота и отдай это левитам, служащим при скинии Господа».From the Israelites’ half, take one out of every fifty, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, sheep, or other animals, and give them to the Levites who keep charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.”

31Моисей и священник Елеазар сделали, как велел Господь Моисею.So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD had commanded Moses,

32Всей добычи, оставшейся от захваченного, что захватили бывшие на войне, было: шестьсот семьдесят пять тысяч мелкого скота,and this plunder remained from the spoils the soldiers had taken: 675,000 sheep,

33семьдесят две тысячи крупного скота,72,000 cattle,

34шестьдесят одна тысяча ослов,61,000 donkeys,

35а из людей— тридцать две тысячи женщин, которые не познали мужчину.and 32,000 women who had not slept with a man.

36Половина, доля ходивших на войну, по расчёту составила: триста тридцать семь тысяч пятьсот мелкого скота,This was the half portion for those who had gone to war: 337,500 sheep,

37и шестьсот семьдесят пять из мелкого скота— в дань Господу,including a tribute to the LORD of 675,

38тридцать шесть тысяч крупного скота, и из них семьдесят два— в дань Господу,36,000 cattle, including a tribute to the LORD of 72,

39тридцать тысяч пятьсот ослов, и из них шестьдесят один— в дань Господу,30,500 donkeys, including a tribute to the LORD of 61,

40шестнадцать тысяч людей, и из них тридцать два человека— в дань Господу.and 16,000 people, including a tribute to the LORD of 32.

41Моисей отдал дань священнику Елеазару, дар Господу, как велел Господь Моисею.Moses gave the tribute to Eleazar the priest as an offering for the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

42Это доля из половины сыновей Израиля бывших на войне, которую отделил Моисей.From the Israelites’ half, which Moses had set apart from the men who had gone to war,

43Половина доли для общества составила триста тридцать семь тысяч пятьсот мелкого скота,this half belonged to the congregation: 337,500 sheep,

44тридцать шесть тысяч крупного скота,36,000 cattle,

45тридцать тысяч пятьсот ослов,30,500 donkeys,

46шестнадцать тысяч людей.and 16,000 people.

47Из половины сыновей Израиля Моисей взял одну пятидесятую часть из людей и скота и отдал это левитам, исполняющим службу при скинии Господа, как велел Господь Моисею.From the Israelites’ half, Moses took one out of every fifty persons and animals and gave them to the Levites who kept charge of the tabernacle of the LORD, as the LORD had commanded him.

48К Моисею пришли начальники над тысячами войска, начальники над тысячью и начальники над сотнямиThen the officers who were over the units of the army—the commanders of thousands and of hundreds—approached Moses

49и сказали ему: «Твои рабы сосчитали порученных нам воинов, и ни один из них не пропал.and said, “Your servants have counted the soldiers under our command, and not one of us is missing.

50Вот, мы принесли приношение Господу для очищения наших душ перед Господом, кто что достал из золотых вещей: цепочки, браслеты, перстни, серьги и ожерелья».So we have brought to the LORD an offering of the gold articles each man acquired—armlets, bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces—to make atonement for ourselves before the LORD.”

51Моисей и священник Елеазар взяли у них золото во всех этих изделиях.So Moses and Eleazar the priest received from them all the articles made out of gold.

52Всего золота, которое принесли в дар Господу начальники над тысячью и начальники над сотней, было шестнадцать тысяч семьсот пятьдесят шекелей.All the gold that the commanders of thousands and of hundreds presented as an offering to the LORD weighed 16,750 shekels.

53Воины грабили каждый для себя.Each of the soldiers had taken plunder for himself.

54Моисей и священник Елеазар взяли золото от начальников над тысячью и начальников над сотней и принесли его в скинию собрания для напоминания сыновьям Израиля перед Господом.And Moses and Eleazar the priest received the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds and brought it into the Tent of Meeting as a memorial for the Israelites before the LORD.
