1 ULB Итак, я решил для себя не приходить к вам опять с огорчением, BSB BSB: So I made up my mind not to make another painful visit to you.
2 ULB так как если я огорчаю вас, то кто обрадует меня, как не тот, кто мною огорчён? BSB BSB: For if I grieve you, who is left to cheer me but those whom I have grieved?
3 ULB Я и писал вам об этом, чтобы, придя, не огорчиться теми, о которых мне следовало бы радоваться, так как я уверен во всех вас, что моя радость- радость для всех вас. BSB BSB: I wrote as I did so that on my arrival I would not be grieved by those who ought to make me rejoice. I had confidence in all of you, that you would share my joy.
4 ULB От великой скорби и с болью в сердце я писал вам, обливаясь слезами, не для того, чтобы вас огорчить, но чтобы вы познали любовь, какую я в избытке имею к вам. BSB BSB: For through many tears I wrote you out of great distress and anguish of heart, not to grieve you but to let you know how much I love you.
5 ULB Если же кто опечалил, то не меня опечалил, но отчасти,– чтобы не преувеличить,– и всех вас. BSB BSB: Now if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me but all of you—to some degree, not to overstate it.
6 ULB Для этого человека достаточно наказания от большинства из вас, BSB BSB: The punishment imposed on him by the majority is sufficient for him.
7 ULB так что вам лучше уже простить его и утешить, чтобы он не был поглощён чрезмерной печалью. BSB BSB: So instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
8 ULB И потому умоляю вас показать ему свою любовь, BSB BSB: Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love for him.
9 ULB так как я для этого и написал, чтобы узнать на практике, во всём ли вы послушны. BSB BSB: My purpose in writing you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything.
10 ULB А кого вы прощаете, того и я прощаю, ведь того, которого я простил, простил для вас от лица Христова, BSB BSB: If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And if I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven it in the presence of Christ for your sake,
11 ULB чтобы сатана не причинил нам ущерба, так как нам известны его намерения. BSB BSB: in order that Satan should not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
12 ULB Придя в Троаду для благовествования о Христе, хотя мне и открыта была дверь Господом, BSB BSB: Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and a door stood open for me in the Lord,
13 ULB я не имел покоя для своего духа, потому что не нашёл там моего брата Тита, но, простившись с ними, я пошёл в Македонию. BSB BSB: I had no peace in my spirit, because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I said goodbye to them and went on to Macedonia.
14 ULB Но благодарение Богу, Который всегда даёт нам торжествовать во Христе и аромат познания о Себе распространяет нами во всяком месте. BSB BSB: But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.
15 ULB Потому что мы– аромат Христа для Бога в спасаемых и в погибающих: BSB BSB: For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
16 ULB для одних запах смертоносный на смерть, а для других запах живительный на жизнь. И кто для этого годится? BSB BSB: To the one we are an odor that brings death, to the other a fragrance that brings life. And who is qualified for such a task?
17 ULB Так как мы не искажаем слова Божьего, как многие, но проповедуем искренно, как от Бога, перед Богом, во Христе. BSB BSB: For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God.
