3 ULB я желал бы сам быть отлучённым от Христа за моих братьев, родных мне по плоти, BSB BSB: For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my own flesh and blood,
5 ULB и их отцы, и от них Христос по плоти, являющийся Богом над всем, вечно благословенный, аминь. BSB BSB: Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them proceeds the human descent of Christ, who is God over all, forever worthy of praise! Amen.
6 ULB Не то, чтобы Божье слово не исполнилось, ведь не все те израильтяне, которые от Израиля, BSB BSB: It is not as though God’s word has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.
7 ULB и не все дети Авраама, которые от него произошли, но сказано: «Потомки Исаака назовутся твоими потомками». BSB BSB: Nor because they are Abraham’s descendants are they all his children. On the contrary, “Through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.”
8 ULB То есть не плотские дети являются Божьими детьми, но потомками признаются дети обещания. BSB BSB: So it is not the children of the flesh who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as offspring.
9 ULB А слово обещания такое: «Приду в это же время, и у Сарры будет сын». BSB BSB: For this is what the promise stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”
10 ULB И не только это, но так было и с Ревеккой, когда она забеременела сразу двумя сыновьями от нашего отца Исаака. BSB BSB: Not only that, but Rebecca’s children were conceived by one man, our father Isaac.
11 ULB Ведь, когда они ещё не родились и не сделали ничего доброго или плохого, чтобы Божья воля исполнялась в избрании— BSB BSB: Yet before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad, in order that God’s plan of election might stand,
12 ULB не от дел, но от Призывающего– ей было сказано: «Старший будет рабом младшего», BSB BSB: not by works but by Him who calls, she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”
13 ULB как и написано: «Я полюбил Иакова, а Исава возненавидел». BSB BSB: So it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
14 ULB Что же сказать? Неужели Бог не прав? Нет. BSB BSB: What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Certainly not!
15 ULB Поэтому Он говорит Моисею: «Кого помиловать, помилую, кого жалеть, пожалею». BSB BSB: For He says to Moses: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
16 ULB Итак, помилование зависит не от желающего и не от стремящегося, но от милующего Бога. BSB BSB: So then, it does not depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.
17 ULB Так Писание говорит фараону: «Именно для этого Я и поставил тебя, чтобы показать над тобой Мою силу, и чтобы проповедано было Моё имя по всей земле». BSB BSB: For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
18 ULB Итак, кого хочет, милует, а кого хочет, ожесточает. BSB BSB: Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden.
19 ULB Возможно, ты спросишь у меня: «За что ещё обвиняет? Кто станет противиться Его воле?» BSB BSB: One of you will say to me, “Then why does God still find fault? For who can resist His will?”
20 ULB А кто ты, человек, что споришь с Богом? Скажет ли изделие сделавшему его: «Зачем ты меня таким сделал?» BSB BSB: But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? Shall what is formed say to Him who formed it, “Why did You make me like this?”
21 ULB Разве горшечник не имеет власти над глиной, чтобы из той же смеси сделать один сосуд для почётного использования, а другой– для низкого? BSB BSB: Does not the potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for special occasions and another for common use?
22 ULB Бог, желая показать гнев и явить Своё могущество, с долготерпением щадил сосуды гнева, приготовленные к уничтожению, BSB BSB: What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction?
23 ULB чтобы явить богатство Своей славы над сосудами милосердия, приготовленными Им к славе, BSB BSB: What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the vessels of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory—
24 ULB над нами, которых Он призвал не только из иудеев, но и из других народов? BSB BSB: including us, whom He has called not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles?
26 ULB «И на том месте, где сказано им: "Вы- не Мой народ", там названы будут детьми живого Бога». BSB BSB: and, “It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”
27 ULB А Исаия провозглашает об Израиле: «Если даже дети Израиля были бы многочисленны, как морской песок, спасётся только остаток, BSB BSB: Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites is like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved.
28 ULB потому что Господь дело заканчивает и скоро решит по правде, решительно совершит дело на земле». BSB BSB: For the Lord will carry out His sentence on the earth thoroughly and decisively.”
29 ULB И как предсказал Исаия: «Если бы Господь Саваоф не оставил нам потомков, то мы стали бы как Содом и сравнились бы с Гоморрой». BSB BSB: It is just as Isaiah foretold: “Unless the Lord of Hosts had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have resembled Gomorrah.”
30 ULB Что же сказать? Другие народы, не искавшие праведности, получили праведность— праведность через веру, BSB BSB: What then will we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;
31 ULB а Израиль, искавший праведность через закон, так и не достиг её. BSB BSB: but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it.
32 ULB Почему? Потому что искали не через веру, а в делах закона. Поэтому споткнулись о камень преткновения, BSB BSB: Why not? Because their pursuit was not by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,
33 ULB как написано: «Вот, кладу в Сионе камень преткновения и камень соблазна, но каждый, кто верит в Него, не постыдится». BSB BSB: as it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”
