1. 1ULBПавел, раб Бога, апостол же Иисуса Христа, по вере избранных Богом, к познанию истины по благочестию,BSBBSB: Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness,
2. 2ULBв надежде вечной жизни, которую обещал правдивый Бог, прежде вечных времёнBSBBSB: in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.
3. 3ULBа в своё время открыл Своё слово в проповеди, вверенное мне по повелению нашего Спасителя Бога,–BSBBSB: In His own time He has made His word evident in the proclamation entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior.
4. 4ULBТиту, законному сыну по общей вере: благодать, милость и мир от Бога Отца и Господа Иисуса Христа, нашего Спасителя.BSBBSB: To Titus, my true child in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
5. 5ULBРади этого я оставил тебя на Крите, чтобы ты завершил не оконченное и поставил по всем городам пресвитеров, как я тебе приказал,BSBBSB: The reason I left you in Crete was that you would set in order what was unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
6. 6ULBесли кто-либо безупречен, муж одной жены, имеет верных детей, не обвиняемых в распутстве или непокорности.BSBBSB: An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, having children who are believers and who are not open to accusation of indiscretion or insubordination.
7. 7ULBВедь епископ должен быть безупречен, как управляющий от Бога, не дерзок, не гневлив, не пьяница, не драчливый, не алчный,BSBBSB: As God’s steward, an overseer must be above reproach—not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not greedy for money.
8. 8ULBно гостеприимный, любящий добро, благоразумный, справедливый, благочестивый, воздержанный,BSBBSB: Instead, he must be hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined.
9. 9ULBдержащийся учения верного слова, чтобы он был силён и наставлять в здравом учении, и обличать противоречащих.BSBBSB: He must hold firmly to the faithful word as it was taught, so that he can encourage others by sound teaching and refute those who contradict it.
10. 10ULBТак как есть много непослушных и болтунов, и обманщиков, особенно из обрезанных,BSBBSB: For many are rebellious and full of empty talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision,
11. 11ULBкоторым следует закрывать рот: они разрушают целые семейства, уча чему не следует, из-за гнусной корысти.BSBBSB: who must be silenced. For the sake of dishonorable gain, they undermine entire households and teach things they should not.
12. 12ULBНекто из их же собственных пророков сказал: «Критяне всегда лживые, злые звери, ленивые обжоры».BSBBSB: As one of their own prophets has said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”
13. 13ULBСвидетельство это истинно. По этой причине их строго разоблачай, чтобы они были здравы в вере,BSBBSB: This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sternly, so that they will be sound in the faith
14. 14ULBне внимая иудейским басням и постановлениям людей, отворачивающихся от истины.BSBBSB: and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of men who have rejected the truth.
15. 15ULBДля чистых всё чисто, а для осквернённых и неверных нет ничего чистого, но осквернены и ум их, и совесть.BSBBSB: To the pure, all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Indeed, both their minds and their consciences are defiled.
16. 16ULBОни говорят, что знают Бога, а делами отказываются, будучи мерзки и непокорны, и не способны ни к какому доброму делу.BSBBSB: They profess to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.
