The Death of Moses 2 RV and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the hinder sea; BSB BSB: all of Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Western Sea,
3 RV and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. BSB BSB: the Negev, and the region from the Valley of Jericho (the City of Palms) all the way to Zoar.
4 RV And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. BSB BSB: And the LORD said to him, “This is the land that I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”
6 RV And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. BSB BSB: And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab facing Beth-peor, and no one to this day knows the location of his grave.
7 RV And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. BSB BSB: Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak, and his vitality had not diminished.
8 RV And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended. BSB BSB: The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.
9 RV And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. BSB BSB: Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites obeyed him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
11 RV in all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land; BSB BSB: no prophet who did all the signs and wonders that the LORD sent Moses to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all his officials and all his land,
12 RV and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel. BSB BSB: and no prophet who performed all the mighty acts of power and awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
