Paul’s Greeting to the Ephesians (Acts 19:8–12; Revelation 2:1–7)

Spiritual Blessings (Romans 8:28–34)

11 RV in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will; BSB BSB: In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will,
12 RV to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ: BSB BSB: in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory.

14 RV which is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of God’s own possession, unto the praise of his glory. BSB BSB: who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.
Spiritual Wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:6–16)
15 RV For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and which ye shew toward all the saints, BSB BSB: For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
16 RV cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; BSB BSB: I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,
17 RV that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; BSB BSB: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him.
18 RV having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, BSB BSB: I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,
19 RV and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might BSB BSB: and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength,
20 RV which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places , BSB BSB: which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 RV far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: BSB BSB: far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
22 RV and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, BSB BSB: And God put everything under His feet and made Him head over everything for the church,
23 RV which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. BSB BSB: which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
