Jerusalem’s New Settlers 1 RV And the princes of the people dwelt in Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities. BSB BSB: Now the leaders of the people settled in Jerusalem, and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of ten to live in the holy city of Jerusalem, while the remaining nine were to dwell in their own towns.
2 RV And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem. BSB BSB: And the people blessed all the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.
3 RV Now these are the chiefs of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit , Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon’s servants. 5 RV and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite. 6 RV All the sons of Perez that dwelt in Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men. BSB BSB: The descendants of Perez who settled in Jerusalem totaled 468 men of valor.

Residents Outside Jerusalem 20 RV And the residue of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance. BSB BSB: The rest of the Israelites, with the priests and Levites, were in all the villages of Judah, each on his own inheritance.
21 RV But the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim. BSB BSB: The temple servants lived on the hill of Ophel, with Ziha and Gishpa over them.
22 RV The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of the house of God. BSB BSB: Now the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica. He was one of Asaph’s descendants, who were the singers in charge of the service of the house of God.
23 RV For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required. BSB BSB: For there was a command from the king concerning the singers, an ordinance regulating their daily activities.

32 RV at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah; BSB BSB: in Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

34 RV Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat; BSB BSB: Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35 RV Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. BSB BSB: Lod, and Ono; and in the Valley of the Craftsmen.
36 RV And of the Levites, certain courses in Judah were joined to Benjamin. BSB BSB: And some divisions of the Levites of Judah settled in Benjamin.
