Psalm 29 29 Psalms Book 1 Revised Version Ascribe Glory to the LORD 1 RV A Psalm of David. Give unto the LORD, O ye sons of the mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. BSB BSB: A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
2 RV Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. BSB BSB: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.
3 RV The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth, even the LORD upon many waters. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.
4 RV The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
5 RV The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
6 RV He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox. BSB BSB: He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 RV The voice of the LORD cleaveth the flames of fire. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.
8 RV The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
9 RV The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and strippeth the forests bare: and in his temple every thing saith, Glory. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”
10 RV The LORD sat as king at the Flood; yea, the LORD sitteth as king for ever. BSB BSB: The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
11 RV The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. BSB BSB: The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.
