Sing to the LORD, All the Earth (1 Chronicles 16:23–36)
1 RV O SING unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. BSB BSB: Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 RV Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. BSB BSB: Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.
3 RV Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples. BSB BSB: Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
4 RV For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. BSB BSB: For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
5 RV For all the gods of the peoples are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. BSB BSB: For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.
6 RV Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. BSB BSB: Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty fill His sanctuary.
7 RV Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, give unto the LORD glory and strength. BSB BSB: Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
8 RV Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. BSB BSB: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and enter His courts.
9 RV O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: tremble before him, all the earth. BSB BSB: Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 RV Say among the nations, The LORD reigneth: the world also is stablished that it cannot be moved: he shall judge the peoples with equity. BSB BSB: Declare among the nations: “The LORD reigns!” The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
11 RV Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; BSB BSB: Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea resound, and all that fills it.
12 RV Let the field exult, and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy; BSB BSB: Let the fields exult, and all that is in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy
13 RV Before the LORD, for he cometh; for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his truth. BSB BSB: before the LORD, for He is coming—He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.
