God’s Righteous Judgment (Psalm 75:1–10)
RV Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practise the same things. BSB BSB: You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on another. For on whatever grounds you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
RV And we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against them that practise such things. BSB BSB: And we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.
RV And reckonest thou this, O man, who judgest them that practise such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? BSB BSB: So when you, O man, pass judgment on others, yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?
RV Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? BSB BSB: Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?
RV but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; BSB BSB: But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

RV tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek; BSB BSB: There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil, first for the Jew, then for the Greek;
RV but glory and honour and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek: BSB BSB: but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, first for the Jew, then for the Greek.

RV For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned under law shall be judged by law; BSB BSB: All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
RV for not the hearers of a law are just before God, but the doers of a law shall be justified: BSB BSB: For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the law who will be declared righteous.
RV in that they shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness therewith, and their thoughts one with another accusing or else excusing them ; BSB BSB: So they show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them
RV in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my gospel, by Jesus Christ. BSB BSB: on the day when God will judge men’s secrets through Christ Jesus, as proclaimed by my gospel.
The Jews and the Law 17 RV But if thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God, BSB BSB: Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and boast in God;
RV and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, BSB BSB: if you know His will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law;
RV and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness, BSB BSB: if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those in darkness,

RV If therefore the uncircumcision keep the ordinances of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision? BSB BSB: If a man who is not circumcised keeps the requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
RV and shall not the uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the law, judge thee, who with the letter and circumcision art a transgressor of the law?
