1. 1SHREbyaliho kurhenga aha murhondêro, ebi rhwayumvîrhe, ebi rhwabwîne rhwêne n’amasù gîrhu, ebirhwasingirîze n’ebi enfune zîrhu zàhumirekwo biyêrekîre Oluderho lw’obuzîne,BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2SHR-bulya, nêci, obuzîne bwaciyêrekîne: rhwabubwîne, rhuli bahamîrizi bâbwo, rhunammumanyisize obwo buzîne bw’ensiku n’amango bwàli haguma n’Îshe, lêro bwanacirhubonekera-,BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3SHRebi rhwabwîne rhwanayumva, rhummumanyisizebyo ninyu, lyo ninyu mujà omu cinyabuguma cîrhu. N’ecinyabuguma cîrhu rhwêhe cibà haguma n’Îshe n’Omugala Yezu Kristu.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4SHRN’ebîra rhummuyandikirebyo nti lyo obusîme bwîrhu bubà bwimâna.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5SHRN’obôla bwo bugo rhwayumvagya arhubwîra, bwo rhummumanyisize: Nyamuzinda abà Bulangashane, na ntà mwizimya gumubamwo cirwi n’ehitya.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6SHRErhi rhwankaderha nti rhushangîre rhwe naye, n’obwo rhudwîrhe rhwagenda omu mwizimya, erhi kunywerha rhunywesire, erhi rhurhanajira eby’okuli.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7SHRCi erhi rhwankalambagira omu bulangashane nk’oku yêne ali omu bulangashane, obwo erhi rhuli omu cinyabuguma rhwêne na rhwêne, n’omukò gw’Omugala Yezu gwanarhuyêza, gushuke ebyâha bîrhu byoshi.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8SHRErhi rhwankaderha nti rhurhagwêrhi câha, erhi kucîrheba rhucîrhebire, n’okuli erhi kurha rhulimwo.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9SHRErhi rhwankayêmêra ebyâha bîrhu, yêne arhatwa omu kanwa kâge, anali mushinganyanya, anarhurhengeza ebyâha bîrhu, arhuyêze, ashuke obubî bwîrhu bwoshi.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10SHRErhi rhwankaderha nti ntà câha rhwajizire, erhi rhwamamujira munywesi, n’oluderho lwâge erhi lurhali muli rhwe.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
