2. 2SHRNa buno kandi byâha balimwo, badwîrhe bàbumba ensalamu omu nsaranga zâbo, bo bazimu b’obukengêre bwâbo; mukolo gwa babumbi ebyo byoshi. Erhi bànaderha, mpu: «Mubarherekêre.» Abantu badwîrhe bàjikânunugurha orhunina.BSBBSB: Now they sin more and more and make for themselves cast images, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. People say of them, “They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calves!”
3. 3SHRCo carhuma bâbà nka lwikungu lwa sêzi, nka lumè lurhimangikala, nka hyasi hiyehûkanwa n’empûsi omu ngo, nka mugî gwahuluka omu kabonezo.BSBBSB: Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that vanishes, like chaff blown from a threshing floor, like smoke through an open window.
4. 4SHRN’obwo nie Nyakasane, Nyamuzinda wâwe, kurhenga omu cihugo c’e Mîsiri, orhîshi wundi Nyamuzinda kuleka nie, na kuleka nie, ntà wundi Muciza.BSBBSB: Yet I am the LORD your God ever since the land of Egypt; you know no God but Me, for there is no Savior besides Me.
5. 5SHRNakulîsize omu irungu, n’obwo cihugo ca bwerûle.BSBBSB: I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.
6. 6SHRNabahîre aha bakerera, banayigurha; erhi bàbà bamâyigurha, omurhima gwâbo gwacîbona lêro nayibagira.BSBBSB: When they had pasture, they became satisfied; when they were satisfied, their hearts became proud, and as a result they forgot Me.
7. 7SHRCo cirhumire nyôrha nka ntale kuli bo, nka ngwî oku burhambi bw’e­njira, nakâlingûza:BSBBSB: So like a lion I will pounce on them; like a leopard I will lurk by the path.
8. 8SHRNâcihunika liguma kuli bo nka mpunga onyazirwe abâna, nâbashenyula ensholo y’omurhima, aho nâbashayagula nka ntale nkazi; e­nsimba z’emuzirhu z’abatwa bihimbi.BSBBSB: Like a bear robbed of her cubs I will attack them, and I will tear open their chests. There I will devour them like a lion, like a wild beast tearing them apart.
9. 9SHRIsraheli, k’orhacishabûka obu? Kàli nie burhabâle bwâwe.BSBBSB: You are destroyed, O Israel, because you are against Me—against your helper.
10. 10SHRNgahigi omwâmi wâwe ali, akurhabâle? Abarhambo b’emwâwe bâkufungire? Balya wakâgiderha, mpu: «Mpà-nâni omwâmi n’abarhambo.»BSBBSB: Where is your king now to save you in all your cities, and the rulers to whom you said, “Give me a king and princes”?
11. 11SHROmwârni nakuhîreye omu burhè, n’omu burhè nkunyazire ye.BSBBSB: So in My anger I gave you a king, and in My wrath I took him away.
12. 12SHRObubî bwa Efrayimu buli bugobeke, ecâha câge ciri cibikirîrwe bwinjà.BSBBSB: The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is stored up.
13. 13SHREmikero y’izîmi emuzûkîre ci omwâna ciri cinganyi; akola ahisize emyêzi, ci arhârhenga omu nda ya nnina.BSBBSB: Labor pains come upon him, but he is an unwise son. When the time arrives, he fails to present himself at the opening of the womb.
14. 14SHRKa nâbarhenza ekuzimu? Ka nâbaciza oku lufù? Lufù we, ngahi cihûsi wâwe ali? Nn’ekuzimu we, ngahi ibala lyâwe liri? Olukogo Lu­mpwîre ebusù.BSBBSB: I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from Death. Where, O Death, are your plagues? Where, O Sheol, is your sting? Compassion is hidden from My eyes.
15. 15SHRCiru Efrayimu ankagandâza ekarhî ka bene wâbo, empûsi ya Nyamuzinda yâyinamuka omu irungu, yâganya enshôko zâge, yâyûmya amaliba gâge, yâherêrekeza ecihugo câge n’ebinja byâco byo­shi.BSBBSB: Although he flourishes among his brothers, an east wind will come—a wind from the LORD rising up from the desert. His fountain will fail, and his spring will run dry. The wind will plunder his treasury of every precious article.
