Lêro Abafarizeyi n’abashamuka b’ihano b’e Yeruzalemu bajà hali Yezu, bamubwîra, mpu:
BSB
BSB:
Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2
SHR
«Bici birhuma abaganda bâwe bakaz’ivuna amarhegeko g’abamîra? Ci barhacikalaba nka balya?»
BSB
BSB:
“Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands before they eat.”
3
SHR
Erhi acibashuza, ababwîra, erhi: «Cirhuma mweki muvuna amarhegeko ga Nyamuzinda erhi ngeso za bashakulûza binyu zirhuma?
BSB
BSB:
Jesus replied,
“And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4
SHR
“Ci Nyamuzinda aderhaga, mpu”: “Okenge sho na nyoko, mpu n’owakungulire îshe erhi nnina, anafè”.
BSB
BSB:
For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
5
SHR
“Na ninyu munakaz’iderha, mpu”: “Ngasi yêshi wabwîre îshe erhi nnina, erhi”: “Ehi nankakurhabîremwo, nahihanyire nterekêro”,
BSB
BSB:
But you say that if anyone says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’
6
SHR
“mwaderha mpu oyo arhacirhegesirwi okurhabâla îshe erhi nnina. Na ntyo munakaz’ivuna amarhegeko ga Nyamuzinda erhi ngeso zinyu zirhuma”.
BSB
BSB:
he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
7
SHR
“Mâshi, ezi ndyâlya! Izaya acîlêbîre bwinjà, erhi aderha, erhi”:
BSB
BSB:
You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you:
8
SHR
“Olu lubaga ludwîrhe lwankenga n’akanwa kwônene, ci emirhima yâbo eri kuli”.
BSB
BSB:
‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
9
SHR
“Obukenge bankenga bubà bunywesi”: “banayigîrize enyigîrizo n’amarhegeko garhenga emw’abantu.”»
BSB
BSB:
They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”
10
SHR
Erhi acibà amahamagala engabo, azibwîra, erhi: «Murhege amarhwîri munayumvîrhize!
BSB
BSB:
Jesus called the crowd to Him and said,
“Listen and understand.
11
SHR
Arhali ebija ekanwa byo bizinza omuntu, ci ebirhenga ekamwa kw’omuntu byo bimuzinza.»
BSB
BSB:
A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.”
12
SHR
Obwo erhi abambali bacimujaho, bamubwîra, mpu: «K’omanyire oku ene Abafarizeyi bayumva lulya luderho lwâwe bagayire?»
BSB
BSB:
Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Are You aware that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
13
SHR
Naye abashuza anaderha, erhi: «Ngasi murhi gurharhwêragwa na Larha w’empingu, gwayish’ikubwa.
BSB
BSB:
But Jesus replied,
“Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots.
14
SHR
Mubaleke; eri mihûrha eyêreka emihûrha enjira! Ci omuhûrha gukacihiramwo eby’okulangûla ogwâbo muhûrha enjira, yombi enacîlohe omu nyenga».
BSB
BSB:
Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
15
SHR
Petro ashuza, amubwîra, erhi: «Rhuhugûlirage nîrhu ogwo mugani».
BSB
BSB:
Peter said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
16
SHR
Naye Yezu anacimushuza, amubwîra, erhi: «Aye! kuziga ninyu ntà bukengêre mugwêrhe kuhika ene!
BSB
BSB:
“Do you still not understand?”
Jesus asked.
17
SHR
Murhayumvîrhi oku ebija ekanwa omu nda birhogera, na kandi bijè aharhankaderhwa.
BSB
BSB:
“Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated?
18
SHR
N’oku ebirhenga ekanwa byôhe, omu murhima birhenga, byo binazinza omuntu?
BSB
BSB:
But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.
19
SHR
Omu murhima mwo murhenga enkengêro mbî, okuyîrha, okuhusha, okujira eby’enshonyi, okuzimba, okuhamîriza obunywesi, n’ebijâci.
BSB
BSB:
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.
20
SHR
Ebyo byo bizinza omuntu. Ci okulya buzira kukalaba, kurhankazinza ndi».
BSB
BSB:
These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.”
21
SHR
Lêro erhi Yezu acirhenga aho, acîjira omu mpande z’e Tiri n’ez’e Sidoni.
BSB

BSB
BSB:
And a Canaanite woman from that region came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.”
23
SHR
Naye arhamushuzagya ciru ehitya. Lêro abaganda bâge banacimujaho, bamuyinginga, banamubwira, mpu: «Mubwîre agende, bulya adwîrhe ajira olubî omu nyuma zîrhu».
BSB
BSB:
But Jesus did not answer a word. So His disciples came and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
24
SHR
Naye erhi acishuza, aderha, erhi: «Ntarhumagwa okurhali oku bâna-buzi bahezire b’Israheli».
BSB
BSB:
He answered,
“I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25
SHR
Lêro olya mukazi anaciyisha, amuharâmya, anaderha, erhi: «Ontabâle, Muhanyi wâni!»

But Jesus replied,

“Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
28
SHR
Lêro erhi Yezu acishuza, amubwîra, erhi: «We mukazi, obwêmêre bwâwe buli bunji! Bibage nka okwo walonza». N’omwâli anacifuma muli ako kanya.
BSB

BSB
BSB:
Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said,
“I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”
33
SHR
Abaganda bâge banacimubwîra, mpu: «Ngahi emigati y’okuyîgusa abà boshi yarhenga muno irungu?»
