Matthew 24 (SHR)

7“Ecihugo câyimukire ecindi, n’obwâmi obundi bwâmi. Ecizombo n’omusisi byayisb’ibà hanji”.Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

8“Ebyo byoshi, gwo murhondêro gw’amalibuko”.All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9“Obwo bâmmubabaze banammuyîrhe: mwâshombwe n’amashanja goshi erhi izîno lyâni lirhuma”.Then they will deliver you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

10“Banji obwo bâhirime; banji bâhânane bône na nnene, bânashombane bône na nnene”.At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another,

11“Abalêbi b’obunywesi babè banji banarhebe bantu banji.and many false prophets will arise and deceive many.

12Na bulya amabî gayish’iyûshûka, obuzigire bwa banji bwânyihe”.Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.

13“Ci owayôrhe ali mwinjà kuhika olusiku luzinda, oyo ye wâcunguke”.But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.

14“Eyi Myanzi minjà y’Obwâmi yayish’ihanûlwa omu igulu lyoshi, ebè cimanyîso oku mashanja goshi. Obwo lyo olusiku luzinda lwâyishe”».And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

21Bulya ezo nsiku zâbà za malibuko garhazig’iboneka kurhenga okulemwa kw’igulu kuhika buno, garhakanaciboneka bundi.For at that time there will be great tribulation, unseen from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.

23Ago mango erhi mwankabwîrwa n’omuntu, mpu: «Lolà, Kristu oyo oli hano, nîsi erhi hala», murhêmêraga.At that time, if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.

24Bulya bayish’iyisha ba-Kristu bw’obwîhambi n’abalêbi bw’obunywesi, bayish’ijira ebimanyîso n’ebirhangâzo binji ebyankarheba ciru n’abîshogwa acibà kwankahashikana.For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive even the elect, if that were possible.

29Enyuma ly’amalibuko g’ezo nsiku, izûba lyâbà mwizizi, n’omwêzi gurhacibashe, n’enyenyêzi zanamanuka oku nkuba, n’eby’oku nkuba byâgera mwo omusisi.Immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’

30Okuhandi ecimanyîso ca Mwene-omuntu canabonekana emalunga; n’amashanja g’en’igulu goshi ganabanda endûlù; go mango bâbona Mwene-omuntu ayishire omu bitù n’obuhashe n’irenge linji.At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31Obwo anarhuma bamalahika bâge n’omushekera gw’izù linene, bashûbûze abarhôle bâge b’empande ini z’igulu, kurhenga emalunga bwenêne kuhika ah’igulu lihekîre.And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

34Mmubwîre okuli, eri iburha lirhagere n’ebyo byoshi birhabà.Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.

35Irunga n’igulu byâgere, ci enderho zâni zirhakagera.Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

36Ci olwo lusiku n’ako kasanzi ntâye omanyire, ciru na bamalahika b’empingu, ciru n’Omugala, ntà wundi aha nyuma ly’Îshe yênene.No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

37Nka kulya omu mango ga Nûhu, ntyo kwo Mwene-omuntu ayish’iyisha.As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

38Muli ezo nsiku zashokoleraga ecihonzi, bakâg’ilya banaywe, bakâg’isheba banashebwe kuhika olusiku Nûhu ajaga omu bwârho.For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark.

39Abantu barhakengêraga bici, kuhika ecihonzi cayisha, cabahêka boshi. Ntyola kwo Mwene-omuntu ayish’iyisha.And they were oblivious until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

41Bakazi babirhi bâbè badwîrhe bashwa: muguma ahêkwe n’owâbo alekwe.Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

42Kuziga mubè masù, bulya murhamanyiri olusiku Nnawinyu ayisha.Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come.

43Yumvi bwinjà: acibâga nnakà ankamanya obudufu ecishambo cayishamwo, analâlîra, arhankanaleka bamurhulira enyumpa.But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.

44Kuziga ninyu mubè masù, bulya Mwene-omuntu ayish’iyisha amango murhakengiri.For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.

45Mushi ohi oli mwîkubagirwa na mwîrhonzi, oyu nnâhamwâbo ahâga obukulu oku bantu b’enyumpa yâge mpu abagabulire ebiryo omu mango ga kwânîne?Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time?

46Iragi lyâge oyo mushi, hano nnâhamwâbo ayisha, akamushimâna adwîrhe ajira ntyo!Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

47Mmubwîre okuli, anamujira mukulu w’ebirugu byâge byoshi.Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

48Ci oyo mushi mubî erhi ankaderha omu murhima, erhi: «Nnâhamwîrhu arhishiri duba».But suppose that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master will be away a long time.’

49Arhangire ashûrha abâbo Bashi, analye ananywe haguma n’abalalwe,And he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.

50nnâhamwâbo oyo mushi ayisha olusiku arhagererîzi n’amango arhamanyiri.The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate.

51Okuhandi amukage, anamuhebe ebwa luhande lw’endyâlya: ho hayish’ibà ecimorôgo n’okuhekenya amîno.Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
