1. 1SNAIzvo zvakanga zviripo kubva pakutanga, izvo zvatakanzwa, zvatakaona nameso edu, zvatakatarira uye zvatakabata namaoko, izvozvi ndizvo zvatinoparidza zveShoko roupenyu.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2SNAUpenyu hwakaonekwa; takahuona uye tikapupura nezvahwo, uye tinoparidza kwamuri upenyu husingaperi, hwakanga huri kuna Baba uye hwakaratidzwa kwatiri.BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3SNATinoparidza kwamuri zvatakaona nezvatakanzwa, kuti nemiwo mugowadzana nesu. Uye tinowadzana naBaba noMwanakomana wavo, Jesu Kristu.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4SNATiri kunyora izvi kuti mufaro wedu uzadziswe.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5SNAIyi ndiyo mharidzo yatakanzwa kwaari uye yatinoparidza kwamuri kuti: Mwari ndiye chiedza; maari hamuna rima zvachose.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6SNAKana tichiti tinowadzana naye asi tichifamba murima, tinoreva nhema uye hatigari muchokwadi.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7SNAAsi kana tichifamba muchiedza, saiye ari muchiedza, tinowadzana nomumwe nomumwe wedu, uye ropa raJesu, Mwanakomana wake, rinotinatsa pazvivi zvose.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8SNAKana tichiti hatina chivi, tinozvinyengera uye chokwadi hachizi matiri.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9SNAKana tichireurura zvivi zvedu, iye akatendeka uye akarurama, uye achatikanganwira zvivi zvedu agotinatsa pakusarurama kwose.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10SNAKana tichiti hatina kutadza, tinomuita murevi wenhema uye shoko rake harizi matiri.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
