Zephaniah 3 (SPABLL)

1¡Ay de la ciudad rebelde, manchada y opresora!Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled!

2No escuchó la voz ni aceptó la corrección. No confió en Yahvé; no se acercó a su Dios.She heeded no voice; she accepted no correction. She does not trust in the LORD; she has not drawn near to her God.

3Sus jefes en medio de ella son leones rugientes; sus jueces son lobos nocturnos que no dejan nada para la mañana.Her princes are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves, leaving nothing for the morning.

4Sus profetas son insolentes y traidores; sus sacerdotes profanaron el santuario y violaron la ley.Her prophets are reckless, faithless men. Her priests profane the sanctuary; they do violence to the law.

5Yahvé es justo en medio de ella; no cometerá maldad alguna. Cada mañana saca a la luz su justicia, nunca falta; pero el malvado no conoce la vergüenza.The LORD within her is righteous; He does no wrong. He applies His justice morning by morning; He does not fail at dawn, yet the unjust know no shame.

6“He exterminado naciones; sus torres están destruidas. He dejado desiertas sus calles hasta que no queda quien pase por ellas; sus ciudades están en ruinas hasta no quedar nadie, ni un solo habitante.“I have cut off the nations; their corner towers are destroyed. I have made their streets deserted with no one to pass through. Their cities are laid waste, with no man, no inhabitant.

7Dije: ‘Ciertamente me temerás y aceptarás mi corrección’, para que no fuera destruida su casa conforme a todo lo que yo había ordenado. Pero ellos se apresuraron a corromper todas sus acciones.I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me and accept correction.’ Then her dwelling place would not be cut off despite all for which I punished her. But they rose early to corrupt all their deeds.

8Por tanto, espérenme —dice Yahvé— hasta el día en que me levante para el botín; porque mi decisión es reunir a las naciones y juntar a los reinos para derramar sobre ellos mi indignación y todo el ardor de mi ira; pues toda la tierra será consumida por el fuego de mi celo.Therefore wait for Me,” declares the LORD, “until the day I rise to testify. For My decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them My indignation—all My burning anger. For all the earth will be consumed by the fire of My jealousy.

9Entonces daré a los pueblos labios puros, para que todos invoquen el nombre de Yahvé y le sirvan de común acuerdo.For then I will restore pure lips to the peoples, that all may call upon the name of the LORD and serve Him shoulder to shoulder.

10Desde más allá de los ríos de Etiopía, mis adoradores, mi pueblo disperso, me traerán su ofrenda.From beyond the rivers of Cush My worshipers, My scattered people, will bring Me an offering.

11En aquel día no serás avergonzada por ninguna de las obras con que te rebelaste contra mí; porque entonces quitaré de en medio de ti a los que se alegran en tu orgullo, y nunca más volverás a ser soberbia en mi santo monte.On that day you will not be put to shame for any of the deeds by which you have transgressed against Me. For then I will remove from among you those who rejoice in their pride, and you will never again be haughty on My holy mountain.

12Y dejaré en medio de ustedes un pueblo humilde y pobre, el cual confiará en el nombre de Yahvé.But I will leave within you a meek and humble people, and they will trust in the name of the LORD.

13El resto de Israel no cometerá injusticia ni dirá mentiras, ni se hallará en su boca lengua engañosa; porque ellos podrán pastar y descansar, y no habrá quien los asuste”.The remnant of Israel will no longer do wrong or speak lies, nor will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouths. But they will feed and lie down, with no one to make them tremble.”

14¡Canta, hija de Sión! ¡Grita de júbilo, Israel! ¡Alégrate y regocíjate de todo corazón, hija de Jerusalén!Sing for joy, O Daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem!

15Yahvé ha retirado las sentencias contra ti y ha echado fuera a tus enemigos. Yahvé, Rey de Israel, está en medio de ti; ya no tendrás que temer a ningún mal.The LORD has taken away your punishment; He has turned back your enemy. Israel’s King, the LORD, is among you; no longer will you fear any harm.

16En aquel día se dirá a Jerusalén: “¡No temas, Sión! ¡No dejes que se debiliten tus manos!”.On that day they will say to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands fall limp.

17Yahvé, tu Dios, está en medio de ti: ¡un poderoso que salvará! Se alegrará por ti con gran gozo, te renovará con su amor, se regocijará sobre ti con cánticos.The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.”

18“Reuniré a los que sufren por no poder asistir a las fiestas solemnes, a los que eran de los tuyos y para quienes la deshonra de la ciudad era una carga.“I will gather those among you who grieve over the appointed feasts, so that you will no longer suffer reproach.

19Miren, en aquel tiempo yo castigaré a todos tus opresores; salvaré a la oveja coja y recogeré a la que anda perdida; les daré fama y renombre en toda la tierra donde fueron avergonzados.Behold, at that time, I will deal with all who afflict you. I will save the lame and gather the scattered; and I will appoint praise and fame for the disgraced throughout the earth.

20En aquel tiempo yo los traeré, en aquel tiempo los reuniré; pues les daré renombre y fama entre todos los pueblos de la tierra, cuando haga volver a sus cautivos ante sus propios ojos”, dice Yahvé.At that time I will bring you in; yes, at that time I will gather you. For I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your captives before your very eyes,” says the LORD.
