1. 1SPAONBVLes anunciamos a ustedes la Palabra de vida que desde el principio ya existía. ¡Nosotros mismos la oímos, la vimos con nuestros propios ojos y la palpamos con nuestras manos!BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2SPAONBVEsa vida, que estaba con el Padre, se ha dado a conocer; y nosotros, que la experimentamos, hemos testificado de ella.BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3SPAONBVLa predicamos a ustedes para que junto con nosotros participen también de la comunión que disfrutamos con el Padre y con Jesucristo, su Hijo.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4SPAONBVLes escribimos esto para que nuestra alegría sea completa.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5SPAONBVEste es el mensaje que Dios nos ha dado para ustedes: Dios es luz y en él no hay tinieblas.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6SPAONBVPor lo tanto, si afirmamos que somos amigos suyos y seguimos viviendo en las tinieblas, mentimos y no estamos poniendo en práctica la verdad.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7SPAONBVPero si, al igual que Cristo, vivimos en la luz, entre nosotros habrá compañerismo, y la sangre de Jesucristo el Hijo de Dios nos limpiará de todo pecado.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8SPAONBVSi decimos que no tenemos pecado, estamos engañándonos a nosotros mismos y no tenemos la verdad.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9SPAONBVPero si confesamos a Dios nuestros pecados, él, que es fiel y justo, nos perdonará y nos limpiará de toda maldad.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
