1 STF Tako, neka nas svatko smatra sluћbenicima Kristovim i upraviteljima otajstava Boћjih. BSB BSB: So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 STF A od upravitelja iziskuje se napokon da budu vjerni. BSB BSB: Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
3 STF Meni pak nije nimalo do toga da me sudite vi ili bilo koji ljudski sud; a ni ja sam sebe ne sudim. BSB BSB: I care very little, however, if I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.
4 STF Doista, nicega sebi nisam svjestan, no time nisam opravdan: moj je sudac Gospodin. BSB BSB: My conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who judges me.
5 STF Zato ne sudite niљta prije vremena dok ne dode Gospodin koji ce iznijeti na vidjelo љto je sakriveno u tami i razotkriti nakane srdaca. I tada ce svatko primiti pohvalu od Boga. BSB BSB: Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
6 STF Time, braco, smjerah na sebe i Apolona radi vas: da na nama naucite onu "Ne preko onoga љto je pisano" te se ne nadimate jednim protiv drugoga. BSB BSB: Brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what is written. Then you will not take pride in one man over another.
7 STF Ta tko tebi daje prednost? Љto imaљ da nisi primio? Ako si primio, љto se hvastaљ kao da nisi primio? BSB BSB: For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?
8 STF Vec ste siti, vec se obogatiste, bez nas se zakraljiste! Kamo srece da se zakraljiste da i mi s vama zajedno kraljujemo! BSB BSB: Already you have all you want. Already you have become rich. Without us, you have become kings. How I wish you really were kings, so that we might be kings with you!
9 STF Jer Bog je, cini mi se, nas apostole prikazao posljednje, kao na smrt osudene, jer postali smo prizor svijetu, i andelima, i ljudima- BSB BSB: For it seems to me that God has displayed us apostles at the end of the procession, like prisoners appointed for death. We have become a spectacle to the whole world, to angels as well as to men.
10 STF mi ludi poradi Krista, vi mudri u Kristu; mi slabi, vi jaki; vi caљceni, mi prezreni; BSB BSB: We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we are dishonored.
11 STF sve do ovoga casa i gladujemo, i ћedamo, i goli smo, i pljuskaju nas, i beskucnici smo, BSB BSB: To this very hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.
12 STF i patimo se radeci svojim rukama. Proklinjani blagoslivljamo, proganjani ustrajavamo, BSB BSB: We work hard with our own hands. When we are vilified, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;
13 STF pogrdivani tjeљimo. Kao smece svijeta postasmo, svaciji izmet sve do sada. BSB BSB: when we are slandered, we answer gently. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world.
14 STF Ne piљem ovoga da vas postidim, nego da vas kao ljubljenu svoju djecu urazumim. BSB BSB: I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you as my beloved children.
15 STF Jer da imate u Kristu i deset tisuca ucitelja, ipak ne biste imali viљe otaca. Ta u Kristu Isusu po evandelju ja vas rodih! BSB BSB: Even if you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.
16 STF Zaklinjem vas, dakle: nasljedovatelji moji budite. BSB BSB: Therefore I urge you to imitate me.
17 STF Zato upravo poslah k vama Timoteja, koji mi je dijete ljubljeno i vjerno u Gospodinu, da vas podsjeti na naputke moje, u Kristu, kako posvuda u svakoj crkvi ucim. BSB BSB: That is why I have sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which is exactly what I teach everywhere in every church.
18 STF Neki se uznijeљe kao da ja necu doci k vama. BSB BSB: Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.
19 STF Ipak, eto me ubrzo k vama, ako Gospodin htjedne, i rasudit cu ne rijeci onih nadutih, nego krepost. BSB BSB: But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only what these arrogant people are saying, but what power they have.
20 STF Ta nije u rijeci kraljevstvo Boћje, nego u kreposti. BSB BSB: For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
21 STF Љto ћelite? Da k vama dodem sa љibom ili s ljubavlju i duhom blagosti? BSB BSB: Which do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and with a gentle spirit?
