1 STF Zato, buduci da po milosrdu imamo ovu sluћbu, ne malakљemo. BSB BSB: Therefore, since God in His mercy has given us this ministry, we do not lose heart.
2 STF Ali odrekosmo se sramotnoga prikrivanja: ne nastupamo lukavo niti izopacujemo rijec Boћju, nego se objavljivanjem istine preporucujemo svakoj savjesti ljudskoj pred Bogom. BSB BSB: Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 STF Ako je i zastrto evandelje naљe, u onima je zastrto koji propadaju: BSB BSB: And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.
4 STF u onima kojima bog ovoga svijeta oslijepi pameti nevjernicke da ne zasvijetli svjetlost evandelja slave Krista koji je slika Boћja. BSB BSB: The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
5 STF Jer ne propovijedamo same sebe, nego Krista Isusa Gospodinom, a sebe slugama vaљim poradi Isusa. BSB BSB: For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 STF Ta Bog koji rece: Neka iz tame svjetlost zasine!, on zasvijetli u srcima naљim da nam spoznanje slave Boћje zasvijetli na licu Kristovu. BSB BSB: For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 STF To pak blago imamo u glinenim posudama da izvanredna ona snaga bude ocito Boћja, a ne od nas. BSB BSB: Now we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this surpassingly great power is from God and not from us.
8 STF U svemu pritisnuti, ali ne pritijeљnjeni; dvoumeci, ali ne zdvajajuci; BSB BSB: We are hard pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 STF progonjeni, ali ne napuљteni; obarani, ali ne oboreni- BSB BSB: persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.
10 STF uvijek umiranje Isusovo u tijelu pronosimo da se i ћivot Isusov u tijelu naљem ocituje. BSB BSB: We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
11 STF Doista, mi se ћivi uvijek na smrt predajemo poradi Isusa da se i ћivot Isusov ocituje u naљem smrtnom tijelu. BSB BSB: For we who are alive are always consigned to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal body.
12 STF Tako smrt djeluje u nama, ћivot u vama. BSB BSB: So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 STF A buduci da imamo isti duh vjere kao љto je pisano: Uzvjerovah, zato besjedim, i mi vjerujemo pa zato i besjedimo. BSB BSB: And in keeping with what is written, “I believed, therefore I have spoken,” we who have the same spirit of faith also believe and therefore speak,
14 STF Ta znamo: onaj koji je uskrisio Gospodina Isusa i nas ce s Isusom uskrisiti i zajedno s vama uza se postaviti. BSB BSB: knowing that the One who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in His presence.
15 STF A sve je to za vas: da milost- umnoћena- zahvaljivanjem mnogih izobiluje Bogu na slavu. BSB BSB: All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is extending to more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow, to the glory of God.
16 STF Zato ne malakљemo. Naprotiv, ako se naљ izvanji covjek i raspada, nutarnji se iz dana u dan obnavlja. BSB BSB: Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day.
17 STF Ta ova malenkost naљe casovite nevolje donosi nam obilato, sve obilatije, breme vjecne slave BSB BSB: For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that is far beyond comparison.
18 STF jer nama nije do vidljivog nego do nevidljivog: ta vidljivo je privremeno, a nevidljivo- vjecno.2CO 4:1 Pocinjemo li opet sami sebe preporucivati? Ili trebamo li, kao neki, preporucna pisma na vas ili od vas? BSB BSB: So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
