2 STF unatoc mnogim kuљnjama i nevoljama izobilna njihova radost i skrajnje siromaљtvo preli se u bogatstvo dareћljivosti. BSB BSB: In the terrible ordeal they suffered, their abundant joy and deep poverty overflowed into rich generosity.
3 STF Svjedocim uistinu: oni su nas dragovoljno- po svojim mogucnostima i preko mogucnosti- BSB BSB: For I testify that they gave according to their ability and even beyond it. Of their own accord,
4 STF veoma usrdno molili za milost zajedniљtva u ovom posluћivanju svetih. BSB BSB: they earnestly pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.
5 STF I to ne samo kako se nadasmo, nego same sebe predadoљe najprvo Gospodinu, a onda nama, po volji Boћjoj. BSB BSB: And not only did they do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us, through the will of God.
6 STF Zato zamolismo Tita da kao љto je zapoceo, tako i dovrљi medu vama i to djelo dareћljivosti. BSB BSB: So we urged Titus to help complete your act of grace, just as he had started it.
7 STF Stoga kao љto se u svemu odlikujete- u vjeri, i rijeci, i spoznanju, i svakoj gorljivosti, i u ljubavi svojoj prema nama- odlikujte se i u ovoj dareћljivosti. BSB BSB: But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in the love we inspired in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
8 STF Ne zapovijedam, nego gorljivoљcu drugih prokuљavam istinitost vaљe ljubavi. BSB BSB: I am not giving a command, but I am testing the sincerity of your love through the earnestness of others.
9 STF Ta poznate dareћljivost Gospodina naљega Isusa Krista! Premda bogat, radi vas posta siromaљan, da se vi njegovim siromaљtvom obogatite. BSB BSB: For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
10 STF Time dajem samo savjet: to doista dolikuje vama koji vec proљle godine prvi to zapoceste, ne samo cinom nego i odlukom. BSB BSB: And this is my opinion about what is helpful for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give, but even to have such a desire.
11 STF Sada dovrљite to djelo da kao љto spremno odluciste, tako prema mogucnostima i dovrљite. BSB BSB: Now finish the work, so that you may complete it with the same eager desire, according to your means.
12 STF Jer ima li spremnosti, mila je po onom љto ima, a ne po onom cega nema. BSB BSB: For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.
13 STF Ne dakako: drugima olakљica, vama oskudica, nego- jednakost! BSB BSB: It is not our intention that others may be relieved while you are burdened, but that there may be equality.
14 STF U sadaљnjem trenutku vaљ suviљak za njihovu oskudicu da jednom njihov suviљak bude za vaљu oskudicu- te bude jednakost, BSB BSB: At the present time, your surplus will meet their need, so that in turn their surplus will meet your need. This way there will be equality.

17 STF On je prihvatio i molbu, ali buduci da je veoma revan, otide k vama i dragovoljno. BSB BSB: For not only did he welcome our appeal, but he is eagerly coming to you of his own volition.
18 STF S njime pak љaljemo brata kojega s evandelja slave sve crkve. BSB BSB: Along with Titus we are sending the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in the gospel.
19 STF Љtoviљe, crkve ga izabraљe za naљeg suputnika u ovom djelu dareћljivosti kojemu sluћimo- na slavu samoga Gospodina i na naљu ћelju BSB BSB: More than that, this brother was chosen by the churches to accompany us with the gracious offering we administer to honor the Lord Himself and to show our eagerness to help.
20 STF kako bismo izbjegli da nas tko ne prekori zbog ovog obilja kojim raspolaћemo. BSB BSB: We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this generous gift.
21 STF Doista, revno nastojimo oko dobra ne samo pred Gospodinom nego i pred ljudima. BSB BSB: For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of men.
22 STF Љaljemo s njima i naљega brata koji je, kako smo u mnogome cesto iskusili, gorljiv, a sada je joљ mnogo gorljiviji zbog velikoga pouzdanja u vas. BSB BSB: And we are sending along with them our brother who has proven his earnestness to us many times and in many ways, and now even more so by his great confidence in you.
23 STF A Tito? Moj je drug i suradnik za vas. A braca naљa? Poslanici su crkava, slava Kristova. BSB BSB: As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you. As for our brothers, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.
24 STF Pruћite im dakle pred crkvama dokaz svoje ljubavi i toga da se s pravom vama ponosimo. BSB BSB: In full view of the churches, then, show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our boasting about you.
