2 STF u kojima ste nekoc ћivjeli po Eonu ovoga svijeta, po Knezu vlasti zraka, po tomu duhu koji sada djeluje u sinovima neposluљnima. BSB BSB: in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience.
3 STF Medu njima smo i mi nekoc ћivjeli u poћudama tijela svoga, udovoljavajuci prohtjevima tijela i cudi, te po naravi bijasmo djeca gnjeva kao i drugi. BSB BSB: All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath.
4 STF Ali Bog, bogat milosrdem, zbog velike ljubavi kojom nas uzljubi, BSB BSB: But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
5 STF nas koji bijasmo mrtvi zbog prijestupa, oћivi zajedno s Kristom- miloљcu ste spaљeni!- BSB BSB: made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved!
6 STF te nas zajedno s njim uskrisi i posadi na nebesima u Kristu Isusu: BSB BSB: And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
7 STF da u dobrohotnosti prema nama u Kristu Isusu pokaћe buducim vjekovima preobilno bogatstvo milosti svoje. BSB BSB: in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
9 STF Ne po djelima, da se ne bi tko hvastao. BSB BSB: not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 STF Njegovo smo djelo, stvoreni u Kristu Isusu za dobra djela, koja Bog unaprijed pripravi da u njima ћivimo. BSB BSB: For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
11 STF Spominjite se stoga da nekoc bijaste neznaboљci u tijelu- neobrezanicima su vas zvali oni koji se zovu obrezani, rukom, na tijelu- BSB BSB: Therefore remember that formerly you who are Gentiles in the flesh and called uncircumcised by the so-called circumcision (that done in the body by human hands)—
12 STF i da u ono vrijeme bijaste izvan Krista, udaljeni od gradanstva izraelskoga, tudi Savezima obecanja, bez nade bijaste i neznaboљci na svijetu. BSB BSB: remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
15 STF Zakon zapovijedi s propisima obeskrijepi da u sebi, uspostavljajuci mir, od dvojice sazda jednoga novog covjeka BSB BSB: by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace
16 STF te obojicu u jednome Tijelu izmiri s Bogom po kriћu, ubivљi u sebi neprijateljstvo. BSB BSB: and reconciling both of them to God in one body through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility.
17 STF I dode te navijesti mir vama daleko i mir onima blizu, BSB BSB: He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.
18 STF jer po njemu jedni i drugi u jednome Duhu imamo pristup Ocu. BSB BSB: For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
19 STF Tako dakle viљe niste tudinci ni pridoљlice, nego sugradani ste svetih i ukucani Boћji BSB BSB: Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household,
20 STF nazidani na temelju apostola i proroka, a zaglavni je kamen sam Krist Isus. BSB BSB: built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.
21 STF U njemu je sva gradevina povezana i raste u hram svet u Gospodinu. BSB BSB: In Him the whole building is fitted together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
22 STF U njemu ste i vi ugradeni u prebivaliљte Boћje u Duhu. BSB BSB: And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God in His Spirit.
