1. 1SRPONSTLJednom je Mojsije čuvao ovce Jotora, svoga tasta, madijanskog sveštenika. Goneći stado po pustari, dođe do Božije gore, do Horiva.BSBBSB: Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
2. 2SRPONSTLTu mu se ukaže Anđeo Gospodnji u plamtećem ognju iz jednog grma. Pogleda on, kad ono, grm gori, ali ne sagoreva.BSBBSB: There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from within a bush. Moses saw the bush ablaze with fire, but it was not consumed.

17. 17SRPONSTLZato izjavljujem: ja ću vas izvesti iz egipatske bede u zemlju Hananaca, Hetita, Amorejaca, Ferežana, Evejaca i Jevusejaca, u zemlju kojom teku med i mleko.“’BSBBSB: And I have promised to bring you up out of your affliction in Egypt, into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’
18. 18SRPONSTLOni će te poslušati, a ti ćeš otići sa izrailjskim starešinama k egipatskom caru, pa ćete mu reći: ’Gospod, Bog Jevreja, nas je sreo. Dozvoli nam sad da odemo tri dana hoda u pustinju, da prinesemo žrtvu Gospodu, Bogu svojemu.’BSBBSB: The elders of Israel will listen to what you say, and you must go with them to the king of Egypt and tell him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’
19. 19SRPONSTLIpak, ja znam da vam egipatski car neće dati da odete ako ga ne natera moćna ruka.BSBBSB: But I know that the king of Egypt will not allow you to go unless a mighty hand compels him.
