1Isa akaingia tena ndani ya sinagogi, na kulikuwa na mtu aliyepooza mkono.Once again Jesus entered the synagogue, and a man with a withered hand was there.

3Isa akamwambia yule mtu mwenye mkono uliopooza, “Njoo hapa mbele ya watu wote.”Then Jesus said to the man with the withered hand, “Stand up among us.”

4Kisha Isa akawauliza, “Je, ni lipi lililo halali siku ya Sabato: Ni kutenda mema au kutenda mabaya? Ni kuokoa maisha au kuua?” Lakini wao wakanyamaza.And He asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?” But they were silent.

5Isa akawatazama kwa hasira watu waliomzunguka pande zote, akahuzunika sana kwa sababu ya ugumu wa mioyo yao. Akamwambia yule mtu mwenye mkono uliopooza, “Nyoosha mkono wako.” Akaunyoosha, nao ukawa umeponywa kabisa!Jesus looked around at them with anger and sorrow at their hardness of heart. Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored.

6Kisha Mafarisayo wakatoka nje, nao wakaanza kufanya njama ya kumuua Isa wakishirikiana na Maherode.At this, the Pharisees went out and began plotting with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.

7Isa na wanafunzi wake wakaondoka huko, wakaenda baharini, nao umati mkubwa wa watu kutoka Galilaya wakamfuata.So Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea, accompanied by a large crowd from Galilee, Judea,

8Waliposikia mambo yote aliyokuwa akiyafanya, makundi ya watu wakamjia kutoka Yudea, Yerusalemu, Idumaya, na ng’ambo ya Yordani, pamoja na wale wa maeneo ya Tiro na Sidoni.Jerusalem, Idumea, the region beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon. The large crowd came to Him when they heard what great things He was doing.

9Kwa sababu ya umati mkubwa wa watu, aliwaambia wanafunzi wake watayarishe mashua ndogo kwa ajili yake, ili kuwazuia watu kumsonga.Jesus asked His disciples to have a boat ready for Him so that the crowd would not crush Him.

10Kwa kuwa alikuwa amewaponya wagonjwa wengi, wale wenye magonjwa walikuwa wanasukumana ili wapate kumgusa.For He had healed so many that all who had diseases were pressing forward to touch Him.

11Kila mara pepo wachafu walipomwona, walianguka chini mbele yake na kupiga kelele wakisema, “Wewe ndiwe Mwana wa Mungu.”And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried out, “You are the Son of God!”

12Lakini aliwaonya wasiwaambie wengine kumhusu.But He warned them sternly not to make Him known.

13Isa akapanda mlimani na kuwaita wale aliowataka, nao wakamjia.Then Jesus went up on the mountain and called for those He wanted, and they came to Him.

14Akawachagua watu kumi na wawili ambao aliwaita mitume, ili wapate kuwa naye, na awatume kwenda kuhubiriHe appointed twelve of them, whom He designated as apostles, to accompany Him, to be sent out to preach,

15na kuwa na mamlaka ya kutoa pepo wachafu.and to have authority to drive out demons.

16Hawa ndio wale kumi na wawili aliowachagua: Simoni (ambaye alimwita Petro);These are the twelve He appointed: Simon (whom He named Peter),

17Yakobo mwana wa Zebedayo, na Yohana nduguye (ambao aliwaita Boanerge, maana yake Wana wa Ngurumo);James son of Zebedee and his brother John (whom He named Boanerges, meaning “Sons of Thunder”),

18Andrea, Filipo, Bartholomayo, Mathayo, Tomaso, Yakobo mwana wa Alfayo, Thadayo, Simoni Mkananayo,Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot,

19na Yuda Iskariote aliyemsaliti Isa.and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus.

20Kisha Isa alipoingia ndani ya nyumba, umati wa watu wakakusanyika tena, kiasi kwamba yeye na wanafunzi wake hawakuweza kula chakula.Then Jesus went home, and once again a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples could not even eat.

21Ndugu zake walipopata habari wakaja ili kumchukua kwa maana watu walikuwa wakisema, “Amerukwa na akili.”When His family heard about this, they went out to take custody of Him, saying, “He is out of His mind.”

22Walimu wa Torati walioteremka kutoka Yerusalemu walisema, “Amepagawa na Beelzebuli! Anatoa pepo wachafu kwa nguvu ya mkuu wa pepo wachafu!”And the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons He drives out demons.”

23Basi Isa akawaita na kuzungumza nao kwa mifano akasema: “Shetani awezaje kumtoa Shetani?So Jesus called them together and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan?

24Kama ufalme ukigawanyika dhidi yake wenyewe, ufalme huo hauwezi kusimama.If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand.

25Nayo nyumba ikigawanyika dhidi yake yenyewe, nyumba hiyo haiwezi kusimama.If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand.

26Na kama Shetani akijipinga mwenyewe na awe amegawanyika, hawezi kusimama, bali mwisho wake umetimia.And if Satan is divided and rises against himself, he cannot stand; his end has come.

27Hakuna mtu yeyote awezaye kuingia kwenye nyumba ya mtu mwenye nguvu na kuteka nyara mali yake asipomfunga kwanza yule mwenye nguvu. Ndipo ataweza kuteka nyara mali yake.Indeed, no one can enter a strong man’s house to steal his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house.

28Amin, nawaambia, watu wataweza kusamehewa dhambi na kufuru zao zote;Truly I tell you, the sons of men will be forgiven all sins and blasphemies, as many as they utter.

29lakini yeyote anayemkufuru Roho Mtakatifu wa Mungu hatasamehewa kamwe, atakuwa na hatia ya dhambi ya milele.”But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin.”

30Isa alisema hivi kwa sababu walikuwa wanasema, “Ana pepo mchafu.”Jesus made this statement because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

31Kisha wakaja ndugu zake Isa pamoja na mama yake. Wakiwa wamesimama nje, wakamtuma mtu kumwita.Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came and stood outside. They sent someone in to summon Him,

32Umati wa watu walikuwa wameketi kumzunguka, nao wakamwambia, “Mama yako na ndugu zako wako nje, wanakutafuta.”and a crowd was sitting around Him. “Look,” He was told, “Your mother and brothers are outside, asking for You.”

33Akawauliza, “Mama yangu na ndugu zangu ni nani?”But Jesus replied, “Who are My mother and My brothers?”

34Kisha akawatazama wale watu waliokuwa wameketi kumzunguka pande zote, akasema, “Hawa ndio mama yangu na ndugu zangu.Looking at those seated in a circle around Him, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers!

35Mtu yeyote anayetenda mapenzi ya Mungu, huyo ndiye kaka yangu, na dada yangu, na mama yangu.”For whoever does the will of God is My brother and sister and mother.”
