Mark 15 (SWH1850)

They bound Jesus, led Him away, and handed Him over to Pilate.

2Pilato akamwuliza Yesu, “Je, wewe ni mfalme wa Wayahudi?” Yesu akajibu, “Wewe umesema.”So Pilate questioned Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied.

4Pilato akamwuliza tena Yesu, “Je, hujibu neno? Tazama wanavyotoa mashtaka mengi juu yako.”Then Pilate questioned Him again, “Have You no answer? Look how many charges they are bringing against You!”

13Watu wote wakapaaza sauti tena: “Msulubishe!”And they shouted back, “Crucify Him!”

14Lakini Pilato akawauliza, “Kwa nini! Amefanya kosa gani?” Lakini wao wakazidi kupaaza sauti, “Msulubishe!”“Why?” asked Pilate. “What evil has He done?” But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify Him!”

18Wakaanza kumsalimu, “Shikamoo Mfalme wa Wayahudi!”And they began to salute Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”

19Wakampiga kichwani kwa mwanzi, wakamtemea mate; wakampigia magoti na kumsujudia.They kept striking His head with a staff and spitting on Him. And they knelt down and bowed before Him.

20Baada ya kumdhihaki, walimvua lile joho, wakamvika nguo zake, kisha wakampeleka kumsulubisha.After they had mocked Him, they removed the purple robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to crucify Him.

26Na mshtaka wake ulikuwa umeandikwa: “Mfalme wa Wayahudi.”And the charge inscribed against Him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS.

27Pamoja naye waliwasulubisha wanyang'anyi wawili, mmoja upande wake wa kulia na mwingine upande wake wa kushoto.Along with Jesus, they crucified two robbers, one on His right and one on His left.

He put it on a reed and held it up for Jesus to drink, saying, “Leave Him alone. Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”

37Yesu akapaaza sauti kubwa, akakata roho.But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed His last.

41Hawa walimfuata Yesu alipokuwa Galilaya na kumtumikia. Kulikuwa na wanawake wengine wengi waliokuja Yerusalemu pamoja naye.These women had followed Jesus and ministered to Him while He was in Galilee, and there were many other women who had come up to Jerusalem with Him.

45Pilato alipoarifiwa na huyo jemadari kwamba Yesu alikuwa amekwisha kufa, akamruhusu Yosefu auchukue mwili wake.When Pilate had confirmed it with the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

Akauweka katika kaburi lililokuwa limechongwa mwambani, kisha akavingirisha jiwe kubwa mbele ya mlango.So Joseph bought a linen cloth, took down the body of Jesus, wrapped it in the cloth, and placed it in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.
