3 ULB இதோ, நான் பாஷாவுக்கு பின்பு வருபவர்களையும் அவனுடைய வீட்டாருக்கு பின்பு வருபவர்களையும் அழித்துப்போட்டு, உன்னுடைய வீட்டை நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டைப்போல ஆக்குவேன். BSB BSB: So now I will consume Baasha and his house, and I will make your house like that of Jeroboam son of Nebat:
4 ULB பாஷாவின் சந்ததியிலே பட்டணத்திலே சாகிறவனை நாய்கள் சாப்பிடும்; வெளியிலே சாகிறவனை ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகள் சாப்பிடும் என்றார். BSB BSB: Anyone belonging to Baasha who dies in the city will be eaten by dogs, and anyone who dies in the field will be eaten by the birds of the air.”

7 ULB பாஷா தன்னுடைய கைகளின் செய்கையால் கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கி, அவருடைய பார்வைக்குச் செய்த எல்லாத் தீமையினால், அவன் யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டாரை வெட்டிப்போட்டதால், இவர்களைப்போல் ஆவான் என்று அவனுக்கும், அவனுடைய வீட்டுக்கும் எதிராக ஆனானியின் மகனாகிய யெகூ என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியினால் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை பின்னும் உண்டாயிற்று. BSB BSB: Moreover, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha and his house, because of all the evil he had done in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger with the work of his hands and becoming like the house of Jeroboam, and also because Baasha had struck down the house of Jeroboam.
8 ULB யூதாவின் ராஜாவான ஆசாவின் இருபத்தாறாம் வருடத்திலே பாஷாவின் மகனாகிய ஏலா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் திர்சாவிலே ராஜாவாகி இரண்டு வருடங்கள் அரசாட்சி செய்தான். BSB BSB: In the twenty-sixth year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Elah son of Baasha became king of Israel, and he reigned in Tirzah two years.
9 ULB இரதங்களில் பாதிபங்குக்குத் தலைவனாகிய சிம்ரி என்னும் அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரன் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக சதிசெய்து, அவன் திர்சாவிலே அந்த இடத்தின் அரண்மனைப்பொறுப்பாளன் அர்சாவின் வீட்டிலே குடிவெறியில் இருக்கும்போது, BSB BSB: However, while Elah was in Tirzah getting drunk in the house of Arza the steward of his household there, Elah’s servant Zimri, the commander of half his chariots, conspired against him.
10 ULB சிம்ரி உள்ளே புகுந்து, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் இருபத்தேழாம் வருடத்தில் அவனை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான். BSB BSB: So in the twenty-seventh year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Zimri went in, struck Elah down, and killed him. And Zimri reigned in his place.

13 ULB கர்த்தர் தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய யெகூவினால் பாஷாவைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியிருந்த அவருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, சிம்ரி பாஷாவின் வீட்டாரையெல்லாம் அழித்துப்போட்டான். BSB BSB: This happened because of all the sins Baasha and his son Elah had committed and had caused Israel to commit, provoking the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger with their worthless idols.
14 ULB ஏலாவின் மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும், அவன் செய்தவைகளும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: As for the rest of the acts of Elah, along with all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
15 ULB யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் இருபத்தேழாம் வருடத்திலே சிம்ரி திர்சாவிலே ஏழுநாட்கள் ராஜாவாக இருந்தான்; மக்கள் அப்பொழுது பெலிஸ்தர்களுக்கு இருக்கிற கிபெத்தோனுக்கு எதிராக முகாமிட்டிருந்தார்கள். BSB BSB: In the twenty-seventh year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Zimri reigned in Tirzah for seven days. Now the troops were encamped against Gibbethon of the Philistines,
16 ULB சிம்ரி சதிசெய்து, ராஜாவைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான் என்பதை அங்கே முகாமிட்டிருந்த மக்கள் கேட்டபோது, இஸ்ரவேலர்களெல்லாம் அந்த நாளிலே முகாமிலே படைத்தலைவனாகிய உம்ரியை இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள். BSB BSB: and the people in the camp heard that Zimri had conspired against the king and struck him down. So there in the camp that very day, all Israel proclaimed Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel.
17 ULB அப்பொழுது உம்ரியும் அவனோடு இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்தும் கிபெத்தோனிலிருந்து வந்து, திர்சாவை முற்றுகை போட்டார்கள். BSB BSB: Then Omri and all the Israelites marched up from Gibbethon and besieged Tirzah.
18 ULB பட்டணம் பிடிபட்டதை சிம்ரி கண்டபோது, அவன் ராஜாவின் வீடாகிய அரண்மனைக்குள் நுழைந்து, தான் இருக்கிற ராஜ அரண்மனையைத் தீயிட்டுகொளுத்தி, அதிலே செத்தான். BSB BSB: When Zimri saw that the city was captured, he entered the citadel of the royal palace and burned it down upon himself. So he died

BSB BSB: At that time the people of Israel were divided: Half of the people supported Tibni son of Ginath as king, and half supported Omri.
22 ULB ஆனாலும் கீனாத்தின் மகனாகிய திப்னியைப் பின்பற்றின மக்களைவிட, உம்ரியைப் பின்பற்றின மக்கள் பலப்பட்டார்கள்; திப்னி இறந்துபோனான்; உம்ரி அரசாட்சி செய்தான். BSB BSB: But the followers of Omri proved stronger than those of Tibni son of Ginath. So Tibni died and Omri became king.
23 ULB யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் முப்பத்தோராம் வருடத்தில், உம்ரி இஸ்ரவேல்மேல் ராஜாவாகி, பன்னிரண்டு வருடங்கள் அரசாட்சிசெய்தான்; அவன் திர்சாவிலே ஆறு வருடங்கள் அரசாட்சி செய்து, BSB BSB: In the thirty-first year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned twelve years, six of them in Tirzah.
24 ULB பின்பு சேமேரின் கையிலிருந்து சமாரியா மலையை இரண்டு தாலந்து வெள்ளிக்கு வாங்கி, அந்த மலையின்மேல் ஒரு பட்டணத்தைக் கட்டி, அதற்கு மலையினுடைய எஜமானாக இருந்த சேமேருடைய பெயரின்படியே சமாரியா என்னும் பெயரை வைத்தான். BSB BSB: He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver and built a city there, calling it Samaria after the name of Shemer, who had owned the hill.
25 ULB உம்ரி கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குத் தீங்கானதைச் செய்து, தனக்கு முன்னே இருந்த எல்லோரையும்விட கேடாக நடந்து, BSB BSB: But Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD and acted more wickedly than all who were before him.
26 ULB நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் எல்லா வழியிலும், இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குத் தங்களுடைய வீணான விக்கிரகங்களாலே கோபம் ஏற்படுத்தும்படியாக இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவம்செய்யச்செய்த அவனுடைய பாவங்களிலும் நடந்தான். BSB BSB: For he walked in all the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat and in his sins, which he caused Israel to commit, provoking the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger with their worthless idols.
27 ULB உம்ரி செய்த அவனுடைய மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும், அவன் காண்பித்த வல்லமையும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: As for the rest of the acts of Omri, along with his accomplishments and the might he exercised, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
28 ULB உம்ரி இறந்து தன்னுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு, சமாரியாவிலே அடக்கம்செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய மகனாகிய ஆகாப் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான். BSB BSB: And Omri rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria, and his son Ahab reigned in his place.
30 ULB உம்ரியின் மகனாகிய ஆகாப், தனக்கு முன்னே இருந்த எல்லோரையும் விட கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குத் தீங்கானதைச் செய்தான். BSB BSB: However, Ahab son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD, more than all who were before him.
31 ULB நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களில் நடப்பது அவனுக்குக் கொஞ்சக்காரியமென்று நினைத்ததைப்போல அவன் சீதோனியர்களின் ராஜாவாகிய ஏத்பாகாலின் மகள் யேசபேலை திருமணம் செய்ததுமல்லாமல், அவன் போய் பாகாலையும் தொழுது அதைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, BSB BSB: And as if it were not enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, he even married Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and he then proceeded to serve and worship Baal.

BSB BSB: Then he set up an Asherah pole. Thus Ahab did more to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel before him.
34 ULB அவனுடைய நாட்களிலே பெத்தேல் ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த ஈயேல் எரிகோவைக் கட்டினான்; கர்த்தர் நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவைக்கொண்டு சொல்லியிருந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே, அவன் அதின் அஸ்திபாரத்தைப் போடுகிறபோது, அபிராம் என்னும் தன்னுடைய மூத்த மகனையும், அதின் வாசல்களை வைக்கிறபோது செகூப் என்னும் தன்னுடைய இளைய மகனையும் சாகக்கொடுத்தான். BSB BSB: In Ahab’s days, Hiel the Bethelite rebuilt Jericho. At the cost of Abiram his firstborn he laid its foundation, and at the cost of Segub his youngest he set up its gates, according to the word that the LORD had spoken through Joshua son of Nun.
