1 ULB சாலொமோனை அவனுடைய தகப்பன் இடத்தில் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்செய்தார்கள் என்று தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராம் கேள்விப்பட்டு, தன்னுடைய வேலைக்காரர்களை அவனிடம் அனுப்பினான்; ஈராம் தாவீதுக்கு எப்பொழுதும் நண்பனாக இருந்தான். BSB BSB: Now when Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king in his father’s place, he sent envoys to Solomon; for Hiram had always been a friend of David.

BSB BSB: “As you are well aware, due to the wars waged on all sides against my father David, he could not build a house for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD had put his enemies under his feet.
4 ULB ஆனாலும் இப்பொழுதோ என்னுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எனக்கு எங்கும் இளைப்பாறுதலைத் தந்தார்; விரோதியும் இல்லை, இடையூறும் இல்லை. BSB BSB: But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or crisis.
5 ULB ஆகையால்: நான் உன்னுடைய இடத்தில் உன் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்த்தும் உன்னுடைய மகனே என்னுடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான் என்று கர்த்தர் என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதிடம் சொன்னபடியே, என்னுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டும் என்று இருக்கிறேன். BSB BSB: So behold, I plan to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God, according to what the LORD said to my father David: ‘I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the house for My Name.’
6 ULB ஆதலால் லீபனோனில் எனக்காக கேதுருமரங்களை வெட்ட கட்டளை கொடும்; சீதோனியர்களைப்போல மரம்வெட்டும் வேலை தெரிந்தவர்கள் எங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவருமில்லை என்பது உமக்குத் தெரியும்; அதற்காக என்னுடைய வேலைக்காரர்கள் உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரர்களோடு இருப்பார்கள்; நீர் சொல்வதின்படியெல்லாம் உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரர்களின் சம்பளத்தை உமக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னான். BSB BSB: Now therefore, order that cedars of Lebanon be cut down for me. My servants will be with your servants, and I will pay your servants whatever wages you set, for you know that there are none among us as skilled in logging as the Sidonians.”
7 ULB ஈராம் சாலொமோனின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டபோது, மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு: அந்த ஏராளமான மக்களை ஆளும்படி, தாவீதுக்கு ஒரு ஞானமுள்ள மகனைக் கொடுத்த கர்த்தர் இன்று ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக என்று சொல்லி; BSB BSB: When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he rejoiced greatly and said, “Blessed be the LORD this day! He has given David a wise son over this great people!”

BSB BSB: Then Hiram sent a reply to Solomon, saying: “I have received your message; I will do all you desire regarding the cedar and cypress timber.

BSB BSB: My servants will haul the logs from Lebanon to the Sea, and I will float them as rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate the logs, and you can take them away. And in exchange, you can meet my needs by providing my household with food.”
10 ULB அப்படியே ஈராம் சாலொமோனுக்கு தேவையான அளவு கேதுருமரங்களையும் தேவதாரு மரங்களையும் கொடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தான். BSB BSB: So Hiram provided Solomon with all the cedar and cypress timber he wanted,
11 ULB சாலொமோன் ஈராமின் அரண்மனைக்கு உணவிற்காக இருபதாயிரம் கலம் கோதுமையையும், இடித்துப் பிழிந்த ஒலிவமரங்களின் இருபது கல எண்ணெயையும் கொடுத்தான்; இப்படி சாலொமோன் ஈராமுக்கு ஆண்டுதோறும் கொடுத்துவந்தான். BSB BSB: and year after year Solomon would provide Hiram with 20,000 cors of wheat as food for his household, as well as 20,000 baths of pure olive oil.
12 ULB கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனுக்குச் சொல்லியிருந்தபடியே அவனுக்கு ஞானத்தைத் தந்தருளினார்; ஈராமுக்கும் சாலொமோனுக்கும் சமாதானம்உண்டாயிருந்து, இருவரும் உடன்படிக்கை செய்துகொண்டார்கள். BSB BSB: And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
13 ULB ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் எல்லோரிலும் வேலைக்கு முப்பதாயிரம் கூலியில்லா வேலைக்காரர்களைப் பிடித்தான். BSB BSB: Then King Solomon conscripted a labor force of 30,000 men from all Israel.

18 ULB ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட, சாலொமோனின் சிற்பிகளும், ஈராமின் சிற்பிகளும், கிபலி ஊரைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களும், அந்த மரங்களையும் கற்களையும் வெட்டி ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள். BSB BSB: So Solomon’s and Hiram’s builders, along with the Gebalites, quarried the stone and prepared the timber and stone for the construction of the temple.
