BSB BSB: Now present yourselves, so that I may confront you before the LORD with all the righteous acts He has done for you and your fathers.

BSB BSB: So the LORD sent Jerubbaal, Barak, Jephthah, and Samuel, and He delivered you from the hands of your enemies on every side, and you dwelt securely.

BSB BSB: If you fear the LORD and serve Him and obey His voice, and if you do not rebel against the command of the LORD, and if both you and the king who rules over you follow the LORD your God, then all will be well.
15 ULB நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், கர்த்தருடைய வாக்குக்கு எதிராக கலகம் செய்தால், கர்த்தருடைய கை உங்கள் முன்னோர்களுக்கு எதிராக இருந்ததுபோல உங்களுக்கும் எதிராக இருக்கும். BSB BSB: But if you disobey the LORD and rebel against His command, then the hand of the LORD will be against you as it was against your fathers.
16 ULB இப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்யும் பெரிய காரியத்தை நின்று பாருங்கள். BSB BSB: Now, therefore, present yourselves and see this great thing that the LORD will do before your eyes.
17 ULB இன்று கோதுமை அறுவடையின் நாள் அல்லவா? நீங்கள் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு ராஜாவைக் கேட்டதால், கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செய்த உங்களுடைய தீங்கு பெரியதென்று நீங்கள் பார்த்து உணரும்படி, நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்செய்வேன்; அப்பொழுது இடிமுழக்கங்களையும் மழையையும் கட்டளையிடுவார் என்று சொல்லி, BSB BSB: Is it not the wheat harvest today? I will call on the LORD to send thunder and rain, so that you will know and see what a great evil you have committed in the sight of the LORD by asking for a king.”
18 ULB சாமுவேல் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்செய்தான்; அன்றையதினமே கர்த்தர் இடிமுழக்கங்களையும் மழையையும் கட்டளையிட்டார்; அப்பொழுது மக்கள் எல்லோரும் கர்த்தருக்கும் சாமுவேலுக்கும் மிகவும் பயந்து; BSB BSB: So Samuel called to the LORD, and on that day the LORD sent thunder and rain. As a result, all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
19 ULB சாமுவேலைப் பார்த்து: நாங்கள் சாகாதபடி உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உம்முடைய அடியாருக்காக விண்ணப்பம் செய்யும்; நாங்கள் செய்த எல்லாப் பாவங்களோடும் எங்களுக்கு ஒரு ராஜா வேண்டும் என்று கேட்ட இந்தப் பாவத்தையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டோம் என்று மக்கள் எல்லோரும் சொன்னார்கள். BSB BSB: They pleaded with Samuel, “Pray to the LORD your God for your servants so that we will not die! For we have added to all our sins the evil of asking for a king.”
20 ULB அப்பொழுது சாமுவேல் மக்களைப் பார்த்து: பயப்படாதீர்கள்; நீங்கள் இந்தத் தீங்கையெல்லாம் செய்தீர்கள்; ஆனாலும் கர்த்தரை விட்டுப் பின்வாங்காமல் கர்த்தரை உங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் தொழுதுகொள்ளுங்கள். BSB BSB: “Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied. “Even though you have committed all this evil, do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart.
21 ULB பயனற்றதும், விடுவிக்கமுடியாததுமாக இருக்கிற வெறுமையானவைகளைப் பின்பற்றும்படி திரும்பாதீர்கள்; அவைகள் வீணானவைகளே. BSB BSB: Do not turn aside after worthless things that cannot profit you or deliver you, for they are empty.
22 ULB கர்த்தர் உங்களைத் தம்முடைய மக்களாக்கிக்கொள்வதற்கு பிரியமானதால், கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய மேன்மையான நாமத்தினிமித்தம் தமது மக்களைக் கைவிடமாட்டார். BSB BSB: Indeed, for the sake of His great name, the LORD will not abandon His people, because He was pleased to make you His own.
23 ULB நானும் உங்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பம் செய்யாமல் இருந்தால் கர்த்தருக்கு எதிராகப் பாவம் செய்கிறவனாக இருப்பேன்; அது எனக்குத் தூரமாயிருக்கட்டும்; நன்மையும் சரியானதுமான வழியை நான் உங்களுக்குப் போதிப்பேன். BSB BSB: As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you. And I will continue to teach you the good and right way.
24 ULB நீங்கள் எப்படியும் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, உங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உண்மையாய் அவரைச் தொழுதுகொள்ளக்கடவீர்கள்; அவர் உங்களிடத்தில் எவ்வளவு மகிமையான காரியங்களைச் செய்தார் என்பதைச் சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள். BSB BSB: Above all, fear the LORD and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you.
25 ULB நீங்கள் இன்னும் தீங்கையே செய்தால், நீங்களும் உங்கள் ராஜாவும் அழிந்துபோவீர்கள் என்றான். BSB BSB: But if you persist in doing evil, both you and your king will be swept away.”
