I was told to kill you, but I spared you and said, ‘I will not lift my hand against my lord, since he is the LORD’s anointed.’

19 ULB ஒருவன் தன்னுடைய எதிரியைக்கண்டுபிடித்தால், அவனைச் சுகமாக போகவிடுவானோ? இன்று நீ எனக்குச் செய்த நன்மைக்காகக் கர்த்தர் உனக்கு நன்மை செய்வாராக. BSB BSB: When a man finds his enemy, does he let him go away unharmed? May the LORD reward you with good for what you have done for me this day.
20 ULB நீ நிச்சயமாக ராஜாவாக இருப்பாய் என்றும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜ்ஜியம் உன்னுடைய கையில் நிலைக்கும் என்றும் அறிவேன். BSB BSB: Now I know for sure that you will be king and that the kingdom of Israel will be established in your hands.
21 ULB இப்போதும் நீ எனக்குப் பின்னிருக்கும் என்னுடைய சந்ததியை வேரறுப்பதில்லை என்றும், என்னுடைய தகப்பன் வீட்டாரில் என்னுடைய பெயரை அழித்துப்போடுவதில்லை என்றும் கர்த்தர்மேல் எனக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடு என்றான். BSB BSB: So now, swear to me by the LORD that you will not cut off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s house.”
22 ULB அப்பொழுது தாவீது சவுலுக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்தான்; பின்பு, சவுல் தன்னுடைய வீட்டுக்குப் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்; தாவீதும் அவனுடைய மனிதர்களும் பாதுகாப்பான இடத்திற்கு ஏறிப்போனார்கள். BSB BSB: So David gave his oath to Saul. Then Saul returned home, but David and his men went up to the stronghold.
